Summary: Recent phylogenetic analyses have shown that Pseudosasa, a genus of bamboo, is polyphyletic, with Chinese species being distantly related to those from Japan. Among the Chinese species, Pseudosasa pubiflora is a unique and taxonomically problematic species, closely related to the recently published genus Sinosasa. However, it differs significantly from Sinosasa species in reproductive and vegetative characteristics. Based on morphological and molecular evidence, a new genus called Kengiochloa is proposed to accommodate P. pubiflora. Taxonomic revisions were made, confirming that several names should be merged with K. pubiflora, while others remain distinct species.

Summary: Burchellia, endemic to southern Africa, is a genus of plants in the Rubiaceae family. The type species, B. bubalina, is based on Lonicera bubalina and a lectotype is designated in this study. The paper provides comprehensive nomenclature and synonymy for the genus, as well as taxonomic history, morphological descriptions, distribution, and ecological notes for both the genus and species. The study reveals a continuous pattern of variation in leaf size, shape, vestiture density, corolla size, and color, leading to the recognition of a single variable species.

Summary: In this study, the Neotropical genus Stomopogon Malloch (Diptera, Muscidae) was revised, with the description of three new species and an identification key provided. Color images, illustrations, and ultrastructural morphology of the adult terminalia were included, along with an updated map of species' distributions. Additionally, Stomopogon acuta (Malloch, 1934) was proposed as a new junior synonym of S. inculta Stein, 1911.
