Background: Fruit and vegetable consumption is linked to many positive health outcomes, nevertheless many adolescents do not consume fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. Methods: Data of 488,951 adolescents, aged 11-, 13- and 15-years, from 33 mainly European and North American countries/regions participating in the cross-sectional Health Behaviour in School-aged Children surveys in 2002, 2006 and 2010, were used to investigate trends in daily fruit and vegetable consumption between 2002 and 2010. Results: Multilevel logistic regression analyses showed an increase in daily fruit and vegetable consumption between 2002 and 2010 in the majority of countries for both genders and all three age groups. A decrease in consumption was noticed in five countries for fruit and five countries for vegetables. Conclusion: Overall, a positive trend was noticed, however increases in daily fruit and vegetable consumption are still indicated.

Summary: This study examines the prevalence of postpartum depression (PPD) screening participation among immigrant women in Denmark and reveals that immigrant women are less likely to receive screening compared to Danish-born women. The study also suggests that acculturation factors, such as length of residence and age at migration, affect the screening participation rate, with women who have lower acculturation being more likely to lack screening.

'Fussy eating' and feeding dynamics: School children's perceptions, experiences, and strategies

H. Wolstenholme, C. Kelly, C. Heary

Summary: Research shows that the negative perception of "fussy eating" behavior may contribute to mealtime stress. Children experience tension between their internal food experiences and external expectations, and are highly sensitive to their parents' goals and emotions during meals. The study emphasizes the importance of listening to children and working together to develop meaningful, relevant, and effective eating interventions.

Summary: Despite existing literature on the psychosocial factors of bullying and cyberbullying, there is a lack of comprehensive analysis on the differences between perpetrators. This study aimed to assess the similarities and differences in psychosocial factors between bullies and cyberbullies. Data from a survey conducted in Poland in 2018 were analyzed, including 3650 students from grades K9 and K11. Results showed that male gender, younger age, and non-intact families were associated with a higher risk of bullying and cyberbullying. Protective factors included family support, empathy, school performance, and school attachment. The study emphasized the importance of considering these psychosocial differences and economic deprivation in bullying and cyberbullying prevention programs.
