Summary: In this study, MNP@CTS is prepared via an improved hydrothermal method combined with ion condensation. Lipase-nanocatalyst is then produced using a one-pot method that combines electrostatic adsorption with chemical crosslinking. The lipase-nanocatalyst exhibits excellent performance, with specific activity increased by 2.9 times compared to free lipase, and improved tolerance to pH, thermal, and organic solvents. It also demonstrates high storage stability and reusability, with approximately 92.3% residual activity after the 10th recycle and a cumulative catalytic activity of 13.4 times than that of free lipase. The findings provide a foundation for lipase-nanocatalyst with easy preparation, excellent catalytic activity, good stability, and reusability.

Summary: This paper reports a facile one-pot synthesis of glycidol via the transesterification of glycerol with dimethyl carbonate using KNO3/Al2O3 nanoparticles as supporting catalysts. The study indicates that K2O is one of the active sites of the catalyst, and the performance of the supporting catalyst depends on the number and distribution of active sites. Under moderate reaction conditions, the highest yield was 64% with a loading amount of 30% KNO3, and the nanocatalyst showed consistent efficiency even after multiple recycling.

Summary: A facile, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective one-pot method for the synthesis of a ruthenium-based nitrogen reduction nanocatalyst using reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as a matrix has been developed. The nanocatalyst showed higher catalytic activity and lower energy consumption compared to conventional iron catalysts for ammonia synthesis. The use of rGO as a matrix promoted the electrochemical synthesis of ammonia due to its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.

Summary: Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly lethal infectious disease. Traditional anti-TB drugs have limitations in terms of toxicity and treatment efficacy. In recent years, the development of new anti-TB drugs using natural biopolymers has gained attention due to their biodegradability, biocompatibility, and non-toxicity. This study successfully engineered chitosan biguanidine (ChBG) nanoparticles as a safe and effective anti-TB drug. The nanoparticles showed uniform distribution and a small particle size of approximately 38 nm. They exhibited significant inhibitory activity against different M. tuberculosis strains, including drug-resistant strains, with minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) lower than that of isoniazid. Furthermore, the ChBG nanoparticles showed no cytotoxicity against normal lung cells in the tested concentration range.

Summary: A general, efficient, and regioselective protocol for the synthesis of trifluoromethylated bis(carbazolyl)methanes has been developed. This metal-free transformation proceeds smoothly under air atmosphere and has a broad scope for both reaction partners. This method can also be extended to the synthesis of difluoromethylated and chlorodifluoromethylated bis(carbazolyl)methanes.

Summary: A facile synthesis of a symmetric spiro bis(six-membered cyclic carbonate) was reported, leading to the successful one-pot, nonisocyanate synthesis of sequence-controlled poly(hydroxy urethane)s. The remarkable difference in reactivity between two cyclic carbonates enabled the selective formation of target products, demonstrating the potential for developing next-generation functional materials.

Summary: A one-pot, three-component synthesis of 3-arylsulfonylated thioflavones has been developed, where the reactions were carried out without using any catalysts or additives, and the desired products were obtained through intramolecular radical cyclization. This method provides an alternative route for the synthesis of thioflavone derivatives, which have been found in various bioactive compounds.
