Summary: The study found that there is a lack of compatibility between the competencies of public health training programs and the competencies required by employers. There is a notable deficiency in advocacy communication and social mobilization competencies, as well as deficiencies in collaboration and partnership, and leadership and system thinking. The impact of these deficiencies increases with higher levels of expertise. Therefore, it is crucial for public health professionals to acquire versatile and innovative competencies to address the ever-changing health threats.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to explore the competencies of professionals working in Learning Experience Design (LXD). Using a mixed-methods approach, the study analyzed 388 unique LXD job announcements to identify the core competencies required. The findings revealed that LXD professionals need knowledge of multimedia production technologies and software, skills in emerging technology design and development, and the ability to apply human-centered design to create learning products and experiences. The study also highlighted potential unique aspects of LXD compared to instructional design.

Summary: This study analyzed the content and quality of breast cancer-related apps, aiming to provide useful information for end-users and clinicians. The study found that most apps provided information and recorded patient-generated health data, while also offering psychological support and medication management assistance. The quality of the apps, as assessed by the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS), was generally acceptable, but there were significant differences between the highest and lowest-rated apps. Apps using personalized data and those updated within 1 year and developed by private companies had higher MARS scores.
