LaOCl/C/MnO composites were prepared by a citric acid-assisted sol-gel route. The products (60 wt%)-paraffin composites show excellent microwave absorption properties. The optimal reflection loss (RL) of the samples is - 49 dB with a thickness of 2.4 mm at 9.5 GHz, effective bandwidth (RL < - 10 dB) can cover 2.2-14.2 GHz (12 GHz) at matching thickness of 2-7.5 mm. The excellent microwave absorption ability can be rationally attributed to multiple-dielectric relaxation processes, which contribute to the proper impedance matching and strong attenuation of microwave.
