Summary: The study examined the long-term and moderating effects of a behavioral sleep intervention for autistic children. The intervention showed sustained improvements in child sleep, with greater reduction in sleep problems reported by caregivers compared to the control group. The benefits were found to be greater for children taking sleep medication, children of parents without psychological distress, and children with greater autism severity. These findings can inform treatment decisions and identify subgroups that may require additional support.

Summary: Up to 50% of autistic individuals experience anxiety, and developing interventions to improve anxiety has been identified as a priority. However, there are limited evidence-based therapies targeted towards anxiety in autistic individuals. This study aims to assess the feasibility and acceptability of an app-based therapeutic approach called "Molehill Mountain", which is adapted for autistic individuals and utilizes recommended CBT approaches. The trial will enroll approximately 100 participants and assess various outcomes, including app acceptability, anxiety symptoms, and medication and service use. The findings will inform future optimization and implementation of "Molehill Mountain" to improve mental health outcomes for autistic adults.

Summary: The effectiveness of a statewide Medicaid program providing in-home Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention services to young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder was evaluated using the ABLLS-R. Variations were found among children's initial scores and growth trajectories, with Hispanic children showing lower initial scores but similar growth compared to non-Hispanic peers. Older children at program start had higher initial composite scores and growth trajectories, while children in more populous counties had higher initial scores but similar growth rates to those in more rural counties.

Summary: The study found that children who received ESDM intervention for two years showed significantly greater mu rhythm attenuation when observing a parent or caregiver performing a grasping action compared to observing an unfamiliar individual performing the same action. This suggests that ESDM may have a unique impact on neural circuitry related to social cognition and familiarity.

Summary: This prospective cohort study aims to explore outcomes of children and young people referred to the UK GIDS in terms of gender identity, mental health, physical health, and quality of life, as well as investigate the impact of factors such as co-occurring autism and early social transition. Logistic regression models and appropriate regression models will be used to explore associations between explanatory variables and gender dysphoria. Subgroup analyses based on birth-assigned gender, age at referral, and co-occurring autistic traits will also be conducted. Findings from the study will be disseminated through peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and stakeholder events to inform clinical practice.
