Summary: In this paper, Pr0.7Sr0.3Co1-xRu x O3 perovskite oxides were synthesized by the sol-gel method as bifunctional catalysts for HER and OER. The PSCR0.05 catalyst showed low overpotentials and high durability for both HER and OER in alkaline medium. The electrocatalytic performance was further improved by introducing A- and B-site cationic doping regulation, which increased the surface oxygen vacancy and active site.

Summary: Metal phosphides have shown promise as electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), but their applications are limited by low electronic conductivity in neutral electrolytes. This study demonstrates a novel approach to significantly enhancing HER performance by modifying hierarchical iron phosphide with metallic iron. The presence of iron in the catalyst accelerates charge transport kinetics and improves proton adsorption during water electrolysis, leading to high catalytic rates and long-term stability in neutral electrolytes.

Summary: Developing high-performance electrocatalysts is crucial for efficient methanol electro-reforming. In this study, a NiCoMo alloy pre-catalyst with nanosheets covered nanowires arrays is proposed, which undergoes surface reconstruction and forms a Mo substituted NiCoOOH layer as the real catalyst. The surface engineered catalysts exhibit high activity and stability, achieving efficient co-production of hydrogen and formate. The incorporation of Mo plays multiple roles in stabilizing the structure, promoting surface reconstruction, modulating electronic structure, and boosting catalytic activity.
