Summary: This paper proposes a state estimation method based on the proper dynamic model in the R-D plane, using range measurements to obtain accurate range and Doppler estimates. The unscented Kalman filter is utilized to handle the strong nonlinearity, and two filtering initialization methods are derived.

Summary: This article explores the possibility of replacing a monostatic radar with a highly directive antenna using a coherent bistatic (BS) radar with a single short baseline between the transmitter and the receiver, without requiring direction measurements. The method is applicable to moving targets and relies on both range and range-rate BS measurements. Theoretical analysis and field-test results demonstrate how consecutive pairs of BS range (r) and range-rate (ṙ) measurements can determine the position, velocity, and heading of a moving target in a two-dimensional scene (x, y, v(x), v(y)). In a three-dimensional scene, a second receiver, not along the baseline, is required to estimate five target parameters (x, y, h, v(x), v(y)). The measurements of range and range-rate distinguish this concept from other multistatic radars and well-known positioning or angle-of-arrival estimation techniques.

Summary: This paper presents controllers that use relative measurements to steer autonomous vehicles in circular trajectories around a target. The use of an extended Kalman filter improves measurement accuracy, and Lyapunov techniques are used to analyze convergence. Numerical simulations validate the effectiveness of the controllers.

Summary: This study proposes an efficient multiframe detection method that maps echo measurements to a discrete grid space and achieves adaptive multiframe integration by combining the target evolution relationship. The improved strategy reduces algorithm complexity and improves the accuracy of search paths, resulting in high detection probability and tracking accuracy for weak targets with range-Doppler-azimuth measurements.

Summary: This paper presents a method of generating trajectories based on the geometric Hermite interpolation algorithm, which can achieve a smooth experience in autonomous vehicles by calculating a set of geometric Hermite data containing predefined points, tangent angles and curvature values. The generated path provides curvature information for safe autonomous driving on roads, and offers an alternative way to estimate the design speed of autonomous lane change systems.

Summary: This research aims to speed up the CABAC process by making simplifications, such as using piecewise-linear functions to approximate certain parts, improving the coding process at the sub-block level, and simplifying the context modeling. Based on these simplifications, a parallel hardware architecture is built to achieve efficient bit estimation.

Summary: This study identifies and validates hydrodynamic coefficients for surge, sway, and yaw motion using simulated data and free-running test data. A nonlinear manoeuvring model based on standard Euler equations is proposed, with hydrodynamic coefficients computed using empirical equations. Validation is done by comparing measured values with predictions from manoeuvring models, and sensitivity analysis helps understand parameter influences in manoeuvres.

Summary: This article presents a nonlinear observer that estimates the angular velocity of a rotating rigid body using measurements from a rate integrating gyroscope. The observer achieves exponential convergence when the inertia matrix is known, and an adaptive observer is designed for cases when the inertia is unknown. The observer is robust to inaccuracies in the knowledge of inertia and external torque acting upon the system.

Summary: This article presents the multi-sensor multiple-model generalised labelled multi-Bernoulli filter (MS-MM-GLMB) for tracking multiple manoeuvring targets and proposes an efficient implementation for computing multi-target posterior. The implementation consists of two main parts: centralised fusion with distributed sensors and posterior calculation using belief propagation. The centralised fusion with distributed sensors is performed based on common predicted information, enabling full parallelisation and allowing multiple sensor fusion with MM-GLMB filters. The belief propagation algorithm efficiently calculates the marginal posterior distributions of GLMB form for superior tracking performance.

Summary: The design of a globally convergent position observer for feature points from visual information is addressed in this paper. The proposed solution assumes availability of only the bearing of a feature point, biased linear acceleration, and rotational velocity of a robot in the body-fixed frame. Unlike existing related results, the proposed approach does not require the value of the gravitational constant. The observer's convergence conditions are provided, which are less strict than the standard persistency of excitation and uniform complete observability conditions. The proposed design is also applied to the visual inertial navigation problem.

Summary: This paper discusses the paradigm of controlling uncertain stochastic systems through CSVIU and its practicality when an accurate dynamic model is unattainable. The optimal control solution for the model involves remaining idle within a certain region of the state space, which is peculiar to the CSVIU approach and has ties to cautionary control policies in economics.

The algorithm utilizes a combination of autoregressive models and applies the Kalman filter to single-channel EEG recordings, requiring the availability of the EOG signal. The proposed method is evaluated using actual and simulated artifacts, with the estimated power spectral density as the performance measure.
