Summary: A 3-D-printed wideband circularly polarized (CP) multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna is proposed, which consists of two CP dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) covered by a dielectric decoupler. The center-to-center distance between the two DRAs can be made as small as 0.33?(0) with a high isolation using the decoupler. The measured results of a prototype operating in X-band show a -10-dB impedance bandwidth of 21.7% (8.88-11.04 GHz), with an axial-ratio (AR) bandwidth and mutual coupling both less than 3 and -21.4 dB, respectively. The impedance and AR have a wide overlapping bandwidth of 21.7%.

Summary: This article analyzes the isolation improvement in cylindrical dielectric resonator antennas (CDRAs) for wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) applications, proposing a design with high isolation and good gain in a wide frequency range. The measured results show a below 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 138.02% (1.54-8.4 GHz) with greater than 15 dB isolation, validating the antenna's suitability for MIMO/diversity systems through radiation pattern and envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) measurements. Ansys HFSS 14.0 version was used for analysis to optimize the proposed antenna design.

The antenna has a measured bandwidth of 3.11 to 6.6 GHz and can be applied in various frequency bands such as 5G, WLAN, and WiFi. The diversity parameters of the antenna are validated and found to be within acceptable limits over the operating frequency range.

Summary: This paper presents a wideband low-profile connected rectangular ring dielectric resonator (DR) antenna array for millimeter wave (mmWave) applications. The array consists of four rectangular ring DRA elements excited by microstrip feedlines. Various modes are excited simultaneously to achieve wideband design. The position of the dielectric arms connecting the DRAs has significant effects on the antenna performance. The prototype demonstrates good agreement between measured and simulated results, with a measured impedance bandwidth of 31.6% (22.52-30.97 GHz).

Summary: A simple method using specific higher-order modes has been investigated to improve the isolation of dielectric resonator antenna elements, resulting in low mutual coupling levels and avoidance of radiation pattern distortion. This decoupling technique is effective for reducing both E-plane and H-plane coupling without the need for extra decoupling elements in the antenna system. Fabrication and measurements of a MIMO DRA array showed that using the proper mode can enhance isolation from about 15 to 45 dB at 5.25 GHz.

Summary: A compact horizontally polarized omnidirectional dielectric resonator antenna excited in the TE011+delta mode is presented, with an enhanced impedance bandwidth and suppressed cross-polar field. This antenna can be polarization reconfigured using diodes to switch between horizontal and vertical polarizations, with stable omnidirectional radiation patterns in both states.
