Highly aligned SnO2 nanorods on a self-produced Na2Sn(OH)(6) substrate have been synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal synthesis method. The TEM images indicate that the SnO2 nanorods are exposed with a {110} facet. The formation mechanism of the structure has been thoroughly researched by changing the reaction time. The SnO2/Na2Sn(OH)(6) structure exhibits high-performance for lithium-ion batteries.
