Summary: This study focuses on addressing network congestion caused by temporal variance in client demands in the client-server framework, and proposes a decentralized shared caching scheme. The proposed scheme, utilizing index coding techniques, is shown to be optimal among all linear schemes, achieving a comparable rate to existing centralized prefetching schemes.

Summary: This paper investigates the optimal designs of content placement and transmission in wireless caching networks. It proposes encoding contents into different layers to provide different viewing qualities, and caching at helpers to reduce transmission delay. The nonconvex problem is effectively solved using methods like SDR, SCA, and AGM inequality. Results show reduced transmission delay and increased sum rate gain compared to the benchmark scheme without content caching.

Summary: This paper proposes a caching approach with balanced content distribution among network devices. The selection of contents to be cached is determined through universal and computed using Zipf's law. The dynamic change in popularity of contents is also considered to make caching decisions. The evaluation in a simulated environment shows that the proposed caching method performs better than the other three protocols used in the comparison.

Summary: Coded caching is a method of distributing content across a communication system using coding theory to enable multicasting opportunities among users. This work focuses on the fundamental case of coded caching with uncoded prefetching and proposes a new information-theoretically optimal method for the delivery phase, achieving significant computational improvement. It also performs a complete computational analysis of centralized and decentralized forms of coded caching with uncoded prefetching.

Summary: Due to the expansion of IoT applications, data traffic has increased in recent years, and most IoT applications follow a content-oriented paradigm. The existing host-to-host internet architecture is inefficient for content distribution and information sharing. Information Centric Network (ICN) is a content-centric network that provides guaranteed solutions for data transfer and enables caching to enhance network performance.

Summary: Edge caching plays an increasingly important role in boosting user content retrieval performance while reducing redundant network traffic. The effectiveness of caching depends on accurately predicting content popularity in the near future. However, at the network edge, content popularity can be highly dynamic, making it challenging for traditional reactive caching systems. In this paper, we propose a novel Predictive Edge Caching (PEC) system that predicts future content popularity using fine-grained learning models, improving cache hit ratio and reducing user content retrieval latency.
