Motivated by the recent LHCb observation of doubly charmed baryon (++)(Xi cc) in the Lambda K-+(c)-pi(+)pi(+) final state, we analyze the weak decays of doubly heavy baryons Xi(cc), Omega(cc), Xi(bc), Omega(bc), Xi(bb) and Omega(bb) under the flavor SU(3) symmetry. The decay amplitudes for various semileptonic and nonleptonic decays are parametrized in terms of a few SU(3) irreducible amplitudes. We find a number of relations or sum rules between decay widths and CP asymmetries, which can be examined in future measurements at experimental facilities like LHC, Belle II and CEPC. Moreover, once a few decay branching fractions have been measured in the future, some of these relations may provide hints for exploration of new decay modes.

A hybrid renormalization scheme for quasi light-front correlations in large-momentum effective theory

Xiangdong Ji, Yizhuang Liu, Andreas Schaefer, Wei Wang, Yi-Bo Yang, Jian-Hui Zhang, Yong Zhao

Summary: In LaMET, parton physics in hadrons of momentum Pz is calculated by computing coordinate-space-z correlation functions that need proper renormalization to deal with linear and logarithmic divergences in lattice spacing. A hybrid renormalization procedure is introduced to match lattice correlations to those in the continuum MS scheme without introducing non-perturbative effects. Extrapolating lattice data to the asymptotic z-region based on generic properties of coordinate space correlations at moderate and large Pz is recommended to obtain momentum-space distributions.

Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order Calculation of Quasiparton Distribution Functions

Long-Bin Chen, Wei Wang, Ruilin Zhu

Summary: This study presents NNLO calculation of quark quasiparton distribution functions and demonstrates the significant improvement in behavior of the extracted PDFs. With high precision lattice QCD simulations incorporating NNLO results, the study aims to test the QCD theory and obtain more precise results on nucleon PDFs for nucleon tomography at the planned electron-ion collider.

Distribution Amplitudes of K* and φ at the Physical Pion Mass from Lattice QCD

Jun Hua, Min-Huan Chu, Peng Sun, Wei Wang, Ji Xu, Yi-Bo Yang, Jian-Hui Zhang, Qi-An Zhang

Summary: This study presents the first lattice QCD calculation of the distribution amplitudes of longitudinally and transversely polarized vector mesons K* and phi using large momentum effective theory. The results show that while the longitudinal distribution amplitudes tend to be close to the asymptotic form, the transverse ones deviate rather significantly from the asymptotic form. The final results provide crucial ab initio theory inputs for analyzing pertinent exclusive processes.

QCD sum rules analysis of weak decays of doubly heavy baryons: the b → c processes

Zhi-Peng Xing, Zhen-Xing Zhao

Summary: This paper presents a comprehensive study of b -> c weak decays of doubly heavy baryons using QCD sum rules to obtain transition form factors and pole residues, which are then applied to a phenomenological analysis of semi-leptonic decays. Contributions from up to dimension-6 operators are considered for the two-point and three-point correlation functions.

SU(3) symmetry and its breaking effects in semileptonic heavy baryon decays

Xiao-Gang He, Fei Huang, Wei Wang, Zhi-Peng Xing

Summary: Using flavor SU(3) symmetry, we analyzed the semileptonic decays of anti-triplet charmed baryons and found significant discrepancies between experimental data and theoretical predictions, indicating severe breaking of the SU(3) symmetry. We then considered generic SU(3) breaking effects, finding that the breaking effects are large but can be explained in different scenarios. Furthermore, we explored testable implications in some interesting scenarios that can be rigorously tested with more data.

A global analysis of charmless two body hadronic decays for anti-triplet charmed baryons

Fei Huang, Zhi-Peng Xing, Xiao-Gang He

Summary: The Belle collaboration recently reported measurements on the branching fractions of charmless two-body decays of anti-triplet charmed baryons. They used SU(3) flavor symmetry to derive information and make predictions based on the new measurements. They found that a scenario where all amplitudes are real can fit the data well, indicating that neglecting the phases of the amplitudes is a reasonable assumption. This study is important for predicting unknown branching fractions and polarization asymmetry parameters in charmless two-body decays.

Weak decays of triply heavy baryons in light front approach

Wei Wang, Zhi-Peng Xing

Summary: In this study, we analyze weak decays of the triply heavy baryon Omega(++)(ccc) and calculate the form factors for Omega(++)(ccc)-> Xi(++)(cc) / Omega(+)(cc) transitions using a light front quark model. We predict the decay branching fractions for semi-leptonic decays and investigate forward-backward asymmetry and angular distributions. We also estimate the branching fractions for a few color-allowed processes and highlight the importance of the Omega(++)(ccc)-> Omega(+)(cc)pi(+) channel for the discovery of Omega(++)(ccc). This analysis provides a useful reference for future experimental searches.

Novel method for searching for the 80=+ c-800=+ c mixing effect in the angular distribution analysis of a four-body 80=+ c decay

Zhi-Peng Xing, Yu-Ji Shi

Summary: In this work, a novel method is proposed to search for the E0 thorn c - E0 thorn 0 c mixing effect in the angular distribution analysis of the Ec -> Eo0 thorn oA pi thorn l thorn nu decay. The appearance of the E0 resonance indicates the presence of the mixing effect, which can be observed using this angular distribution. The forward-backward asymmetry, as a function of the invariant mass square of Eo0 thorn and the E0 thorn c - E0 thorn 0 c mixing angle theta c, can be utilized to distinguish the two resonances and determine the exact mixing angle.

Baryonic form factors induced by tensor currents in light-front approach

Hang Liu, Wei Wang, Zhi-Peng Xing

Summary: Inspired by recent anomalies in lepton flavor universalities, this study investigates baryonic form factors induced by heavy-to-light tensor currents. Using the light-front quark model, the tensor form factors are calculated, and momentum distributions are obtained using two parameterization forms. Numerical results for the form factors at q2 = 0 are derived, and parameters in q2 distributions are obtained through extrapolation. The findings are helpful for analyzing new physics contributions in heavy-to-light transitions.

Summary: This study analyzes the multibody decay cascade Lambda(b) -> Lambda*(j) (pK(-) )j/psi, including the Lambda*j resonance. By using the helicity amplitude technique, a compact form for the angular distributions is derived and the differential and integrated partial widths are calculated. The results will serve as a calibration for future studies on b -> sl(+) l(-) decays and provide valuable information for understanding the properties of the Lambda(*)J baryons.

Dark photon kinetic mixing effects for the CDF W-mass measurement

Yu Cheng, Xiao-Gang He, Fei Huang, Jin Sun, Zhi-Peng Xing

Summary: This study finds that a new U(1)(X) gauge boson X interacting primarily with a dark sector can kinetically mix with the standard model U(1)(Y) gauge boson Y. The mixing not only introduces interactions between the dark photon and dark sector with standard model particles, but also modifies interactions among standard model particles.
