Summary: fl-Boswellic acid (fl-BA) and 11-keto-fl-boswellic acid (fl-KBA) have potent anti-diabetic, antioxidant, and anti-hyperlipidemic effects. They improve body weight loss, water consumption, and blood glucose levels in diabetic animals. The inhibition of DPP-4 is the probable mechanism of action for their anti-diabetic activities.

Summary: Boswellia serrata extracts, particularly Boswellin Super(R), have shown significant anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting inflammatory proteins and gene expression, as well as reducing oxidative stress. The extract mediates its activity by blocking the NF-kappa B signaling pathway. In addition, BSE demonstrated reduced enzyme activity and improved arthritis symptoms in a collagen-induced arthritis model.

Summary: Boswellic acid is a traditional medicine with antioxidant and antiapoptotic effects. It has been found to alleviate oxidative stress and apoptosis caused by sciatic nerve injury in rats by activating the NF-E2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase 1 signaling pathway. Boswellic acid promotes myelin regeneration and functional recovery, reduces lipid peroxidation levels, and enhances antioxidant enzyme activity. It is a promising therapeutic agent for sciatic nerve repair.

Summary: A series of new analogues of 3-O-acetyl-11-keto-fi-boswellic acid and 3-O-acetyl-fi-boswellic acid were synthesized using Click chemistry reaction protocol. The synthesized compounds showed potent anti-proliferative activity against triple-negative breast cancer cell lines. Compounds 10j, 10f, and 10i exhibited exceptional inhibitory potency and were more potent than the parent compounds. The cheminformatics method identified CHK1 as the potential drug target for the most potent compounds.

Summary: Glioblastoma (GBM) is a common malignant brain tumor with limited treatment options. This study showed that S670, a synthesized amide derivative of AKBA, inhibits GBM cell proliferation and induces cell death through the generation of ROS and modulation of ROS-mediated signaling pathways. Treatment with S670 also effectively inhibits tumor growth in a mouse model. These findings suggest that S670 may be a promising drug candidate for GBM treatment.

The maximum likelihood and Bayes estimators of the parameter are derived under symmetric and asymmetric loss functions. Furthermore, the performance of these estimators is compared based on risks. The proposed methodology is illustrated using the time to failure of Aluminium reduction cells and survival times of male rats exposed to high radiation levels in weeks.
