Summary: Township health centers in China play a key role in primary healthcare but are constrained by brain drain. Job satisfaction is closely linked to brain drain, and investigating factors related to job satisfaction can help reduce this drain. Government and management should consider the impact of current policies on job satisfaction to potentially improve low levels of satisfaction among healthcare staff.

Summary: The study found that a significant portion of primary medical staff were satisfied with their relationships with colleagues and other social connections. Both economic and non-economic factors play a crucial role in enhancing the motivation and work attitude of medical workers, with those on lower incomes preferring non-economic factors and those with higher education levels leaning towards economic factors. Additionally, as individuals age, their preference for motivational factors gradually decreases.

Summary: This study analyzed the job satisfaction status and influencing factors of grassroots health service personnel in China after the implementation of the family physician contract system. The overall job satisfaction among these personnel was not high, with the highest satisfaction in interpersonal relationships and the lowest in workload. Factors such as gender, income level, educational background, working years, daily working hours, training sessions per year, and the proportion of performance pay significantly impacted overall job satisfaction. The findings suggest that attention should be paid to the workload and working attitudes of family physicians, and efforts should be made to attract more personnel to work at the grassroots level through education and training, while also improving the salary level and opportunities for self-promotion.

Summary: In this study, it was discovered that CIP protein participates in the regulation of dystrophic cardiomyopathy in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) patients. Deletion of CIP led to dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure in young mdx mice, while overexpression of CIP reduced pathological dystrophic cardiomyopathy in old mdx mice. Transcriptome analyses revealed that fibrogenesis and oxidative stress pathways were affected by CIP, and suppression of the CnA-NFAT pathway resulted in decreased expression of Nox4, a key component in the oxidative stress pathway. Overexpression of Nox4 accelerated the development of dystrophic cardiomyopathy in mdx mice. Hence, CIP could serve as a modifier and potential therapeutic target for dystrophic cardiomyopathy.

Summary: This is a multicenter randomized controlled trial aiming to determine whether alirocumab could reduce the incidence of type 4a MI or major periprocedural myocardial injury in patients with CHD undergoing elective PCI. The study will randomly assign 422 non-AMI CHD patients to receive standard pharmacotherapy or additional use of alirocumab. The primary outcome is the elevation of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin above the upper reference limit within 48 hours after PCI.
