Summary: In this study, significant differential expression of 173 piRNAs was found in SVA-infected porcine kidney (PK-15) cells. GO annotation analysis revealed that metabolism, proliferation, and differentiation were significantly activated after SVA infection. KEGG analysis showed that significant DE piRNAs were mainly enriched in AMPK pathway, Rap1 pathway, circadian rhythm, and VEGF pathway. Additionally, the expression levels of the major piRNA-generating genes BMAL1 and CRY1 were significantly downregulated after SVA infection, suggesting that SVA may affect circadian rhythm and promote apoptosis.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of exogenous TTX treatment on Takifugu flavidus. The results demonstrated that exogenous TTX administration significantly increased the level of TTX concentration in various organs. Transcriptome sequencing and analysis revealed differential expression profiles of mRNA and piRNA after TTX administration. The study also found significant apoptosis in the testis of the TTX-treated group. Overall, the response of the ovary and testis to TTX administration was different.

Summary: The study found that during the transition from E35 to E80, 11.43% of the genome switched compartment status, 14.53% of topologically associating domains experienced changes in intradomain interactions, and 2,730 genes showed differential promoter-enhancer interactions and (or) enhancer activity. The alterations in genome architecture were associated with the expression of genes involved in neuromuscular junction, embryonic morphogenesis, skeletal muscle development, or metabolism. Key genes like NEFL, MuSK, SLN, Mef2D, and GCK were identified as playing significant roles in these processes. Notably, Sox6 and MATN2 were highlighted for their important roles in the transition from primary to secondary myofibres formation. The study provided insight into genomic reorganization and constructed high-resolution interaction maps for studying gene expression control during this developmental period.
