Summary: Myocardial infarction (MI) is a leading cause of global deaths. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), such as microRNAs (miRNAs), have been found to regulate pathological processes in MI, and exosomal ncRNAs have been shown to play important roles in cell communication and disease development. Therefore, understanding the role of ncRNAs and exosomal ncRNAs in MI is of great significance for diagnosis and prognosis.

Summary: This review article discusses the role of non-coding RNAs in cardiovascular diseases and the databases that can improve the efficiency of experimental analysis of non-coding RNAs. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality worldwide, and timely diagnosis remains a challenge. Non-coding RNAs have been proven to play a crucial role in transcriptional regulation and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Summary: The study showed that NEAT1 sponging with miR-22-3p affects MI in CHD by competitively binding to miR-22-3p and positively regulating Ltb4r1 expression. Silencing NEAT1 or downregulating Ltb4r1 expression improved cardiac function, reduced infarct size, and decreased levels of inflammatory markers. This indicates that the NEAT1/miR-22-3p/Ltb4r1 signaling pathway may be a useful target for personalized treatments for MI.

Summary: This study identified the key role of ZFAS1 in the differentiation of cardiomyocytes from human embryonic stem cells. ZFAS1 functions by inhibiting the expression of ZNFX1, which promotes cardiomyocyte differentiation.

Summary: Plasma small RNAs, specifically SNORD13, show potential as biomarkers for diagnosing Huntington's disease. SNORD13 levels are significantly higher in HD patients compared to control groups and are correlated with the mutant huntingtin carrier status and disease duration.

Summary: This study examines the expression of circulating microRNAs in multiple myeloma (MM) patients and their correlation with clinicopathological features, including bone lesions. Results suggest that certain miRNAs could serve as potential molecular markers for MM diagnosis, with correlations to disease stage, treatment, and other clinical indicators. Additionally, circulating miRNAs show promise as biomarkers for MM diagnosis and correlate with myeloma bone disease and osteolytic lesions.

Summary: We investigated the association between dynamic changes in monocyte subset counts, phagocytic activity, and NF kappa B activity with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that a more significant reduction in Mon2 by week 1 was independently associated with fewer MACE events. Additionally, a less prominent reduction in Mon2 at 1 month was predictive of better 6-month LVEF. This study highlights the importance of dynamic changes in Mon2 and their potential significance for MACE risk and cardiac recovery.

Summary: The association between LDL-EV hemostatic/fibrinolysis protein ratios and post-acute myocardial infarction (post-AMI) left ventricular (LV) remodeling was investigated. It was found that higher levels of SerpinC1 and VWF but lower levels of plasminogen in LDL-EVs were associated with reverse LV remodeling. The ratios of VWF:Plasminogen and SerpinC1:Plasminogen showed better predictive power for reverse LV remodeling than current standard plasma biomarkers.

Summary: This study found that the concentration of inflammatory cytokines is not only associated with the type of myocardial infarction (STEMI or non-STEMI), but also with the blood flow in the infarct-related artery. Inflammatory response, endothelial function, and blood clot formation are closely linked, and the combination of these parameters affects the patency of the infarct-related artery.

Summary: Circulating miRNAs serve as potential indicators of reproductive status in pigs, with distinct profiles found in serum samples collected from cyclic and pregnant animals. The study identified reproductive status-dependent miRNAs involved in processes important during the estrous cycle and early pregnancy, highlighting their potential as biomarkers for reproductive health and breeding management.

Summary: This study evaluated the prognostic significance of HbA(1C) levels and changes among diabetic patients after non-fatal AMI. The results showed that fluctuations in HbA(1C) values, especially rapid increases, were associated with a higher risk of mortality. Monitoring both absolute HbA(1C) values and their changes could help predict long-term outcomes in AMI-DM patients.
