Summary: The current study evaluated the anti-arthritic activity of n-hexane and aqueous extracts of Cassia absus seeds. The extracts showed significant inhibition of paw edema and reduction in paw size and joint diameter. The extracts also improved the levels of inflammatory and oxidative biomarkers. Polymerase chain reaction investigation revealed the modulation of various inflammatory factors by the extracts. In conclusion, Cassia absus can effectively alleviate arthritis symptoms by modulating oxidative and inflammatory biomarkers.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of DnaJ on IL-1 beta expression in macrophages and found that DnaJ modulates macrophages to secrete IL-1 beta by activating NF-kappa B and MAPK signaling pathways. ERK was identified as a positive mediator for IL-1 beta expression, while p38 acted as a negative mediator. Furthermore, the reciprocal actions of MAPKs were found to regulate the activation of inflammasome-related molecules. The study also explored the involvement of CD91/CD40 in ERK signaling-mediated IL-1 beta production from DnaJ-treated macrophages.

Summary: In this study, a novel purified cell-wall polysaccharide (Abwp) was obtained from the discarded stipe of Agaricus bisporus. Abwp exhibited anti-melanoma effects by inhibiting cell proliferation and promoting apoptosis, as well as blocking inflammatory signaling pathways. In vivo experiments also showed that Abwp inhibited tumor growth and metastasis in mice.
