Iron oxide nanoparticles were fabricated by spark discharge method with electrodynamic acceleration of plasma jumpers. For different charging voltages of the capacitor from 8 to 15 kV the magnetite was the main phase represented by nanoparticles of 5-8 nm having large internal strains of the order of 25 x 10(-3).
