Summary: In this reply, the author clarifies that there are two aspects of the LME, instead of just one aspect as understood by Dr. HyunIl Choi in his comments. Both the value of the estimated LME and its corresponding confidential level are important in understanding the merits of LME for assessing the performance of hydrological model.

Summary: The study investigated the impact of SNAP29 reduction on poststroke cognitive impairments using in vitro and in vivo ischemic models. It found that SNAP29 decrease was associated with synaptic dysfunction and cognitive deficits, without affecting neuronal survival. This suggests that strategies targeting SNAP29 could be effective in treating poststroke cognitive impairments.

Summary: This study aims to develop a physical exercise program for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and determine its effects on physical fitness, cognitive ability, and quality of life. The study recruited 21 adults and divided them into different groups for the intervention. Assessments will be conducted at different time points to evaluate the outcomes.

Summary: This study aimed to develop new equations to estimate cardiorespiratory fitness for older adults and examine the associations between cardiorespiratory fitness and cognitive performance. The study found a set of new equations with good predictive value for estimating cardiorespiratory fitness, and higher cardiorespiratory fitness was associated with better cognitive performance.

Summary: The study found that existing models for pressure-to-depth conversion cannot provide a consistent explanation for the data, and pressure data alone is insufficient to validate or falsify any of these models. For high-pressure metamorphic rocks, there is ample evidence of significant deviatoric stress, which may record transient events in their mineralogical assemblage.

Summary: This paper reports on the scale effects in EHL friction and explains the reduced coefficient of friction for EHL lubricated contacts with a large radius Rx by an increase in film thickness and enhanced thermal effects. Philippon et al. propose three alternative effects to explain the experimental observations, but these effects are mainly based on experiments conducted at a fixed Rx, which is largely irrelevant to the main concern of this work dealing with varying Rx.

Summary: A paper published in BMC Bioinformatics comprehensively evaluated the performance of structural variation calling methods. The authors addressed criticisms and confirmed the robustness of their previous benchmarking results through reproducing and conducting parallel experiments. They found that NanoVar exhibited unstable performance on simulated data generated from different versions of VISOR compared to other tools.

Summary: The study demonstrates that lung tissue-resident memory T cells (T-RM) can be maintained for at least a year post vaccination with an adenovirus expressing influenza nucleoprotein. The lung T-RM cells continued to proliferate in situ 8 months after vaccination, requiring airway vaccination and antigen persistence in the lung for long-term maintenance. Additionally, the lung T-RM pool is sustained by continual replenishment from circulating memory CD8 T cells in vaccinated mice.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of COVID-19 on oxygen uptake kinetics and cardiopulmonary function in severe COVID-19 survivors about 3-6 months after ICU hospitalization. The results showed that COVID-19 survivors had impaired V_O2 kinetics and cardiopulmonary function, which could compromise their exercise capacity.

Summary: GLT8D1 is a protein that is significantly correlated with a higher grade of glioma and a worse clinical outcome. Inhibiting GLT8D1 can suppress self-renewal of glioma stem cells and tumor growth. GLT8D1 impedes CD133 degradation through glycosylation and protein-protein interaction, promoting glioma progression. Blocking the formation of the GLT8D1/CD133 complex or inhibiting GLT8D1 expression can suppress tumor formation dependent on the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

Summary: This retrospective cohort study analyzed the impact of COVID-19 lockdown-induced detraining on the maximal aerobic speed (MAS) of youth soccer players. The study found that players who trained for more than 180 minutes per week outperformed those who trained for less than 180 minutes per week in terms of MAS both before and after the lockdown. Home-based training can be an effective strategy to mitigate the negative effects of training cessation caused by lockdown.
