Summary: Current screening protocols for phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) only consider halo-forming and high PS capacity bacteria, underestimating the potential of non-halo-forming PSB. This study examined the phosphorus solubilization rate and plant growth promotion ability of different PSB categories and found that non-halo-forming PSB can also have positive effects on plant growth.

Summary: The study found that biochar can improve the phosphorus solubilization capacity of phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria (PSB) by affecting the organic acid and polysaccharide contents, and phosphatase activity secreted by the PSB. This can help improve the utilization of soil phosphorus and reduce phosphorus fertilizer pollution.

Summary: The study evaluated the effects of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and Piriformospora indica on the growth and nutritional enhancement of black rice (Oryzae sativa. L.). The combination of AgNPs and P. indica showed a significant increase in morphological and agronomic parameters. Gas chromatography mass spectrophotometry analysis revealed that the contents of aromatic amino acids and macronutrients were significantly increased by P. indica and AgNPs + P. indica treatments. This study suggests that the combined treatment of AgNPs and P. indica could be a better plant growth-promoting factor.

Summary: This study investigated the acid phosphatase production by Trichoderma spp. using treated soybean molasses at different concentrations. The results demonstrated that higher concentrations of soybean molasses led to increased acid phosphatase activity in Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma reesei. The acid phosphatase activity of Trichoderma asperellum was also evaluated. Polyethyleneimine glyoxyl agarose support performed better and resulted in higher activity recovery than DEAE Toyopearl 650s.

Summary: Phosphorus is essential for plant metabolism, growth, and development, but its availability for plant uptake is limited due to complexation with metal ions in the soil. Phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms can solubilize insoluble phosphates in soil through various mechanisms, promoting plant growth and improving plant resistance while also benefiting the soil ecosystem.

Summary: This study characterized the plant growth promoting traits of seven actinobacteria isolates and evaluated their effect on maize growth and phosphorus content. The analyses showed that all isolates were able to release inorganic P from insoluble phosphate sources and produced various bioactive compounds. Inoculation with certain Streptomyces isolates significantly increased maize growth and P content from different phosphorus sources, indicating their potential as plant growth-promoting phospho-bacteria.

Summary: This paper introduces a hierarchical multilevel medical image watermarking framework that combines robust and fragile watermarking techniques to achieve copyright verification, tamper localization, and self-recovery capability. The use of optimization algorithm enhances the robustness and imperceptibility of the watermark, resulting in high robustness and imperceptibility metrics. Through the hybrid combination of Redundant Discrete Wavelet Transform-QR, the framework improves payload capacity, imperceptibility, and eliminates the false positive problem, achieving high average Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio and Normalized Cross Correlation in robust watermarking. Additionally, the framework demonstrates excellent results in fragile watermarking with a high tamper detection rate and recovery rate.

Summary: The proposed content-based image retrieval (CBIR) method uses Gaussian-Hermite moments as low-level features and compresses these features with principal component analysis. Hybrid firefly and grey wolf optimization (FAGWO) is used to prevent premature convergence, and the image retrieval is carried out in an OpenCV python environment with K-nearest neighbours and random forest algorithm classifiers. This approach outperforms other techniques in terms of precision/recall and efficiency, and the hybrid FAGWO optimization shows better performance compared to other optimization techniques when used alone.
