Summary: The possible occurrence of superconducting transition in a SnHx sample synthesized under high pressure conditions by laser heating is reported, with an upper critical temperature of about 70 K. This finding provides a new direction for the development of high-temperature superconductors using metallic alloys.

Summary: The study developed a method for stannylation reactions of terminal alkynes and fluoroarenes, where stannyl anions are photoexcited to form excited triplet stannyl diradical species, showing distinct reactivity and selectivity. This methodology is straightforward, has wide functional group tolerance, high yield, and does not require any catalyst.

Summary: The chemical interaction of Sn with H-2 was studied using X-ray diffraction methods, revealing the superconducting properties and structure of SnH4 tetrahydride, as well as several lower hydrides. SnH4 showed unusual behavior in strong magnetic fields and its electrical resistance temperature dependence did not follow conventional theories. These findings suggest that superhydrides are more similar to cuprates than previously believed.

Summary: Hydrostannation reactions of various fluoroalkenes were successfully developed using HSnBu3 and UV irradiation. The reactions proceed under mild conditions through a radical chain pathway, yielding good product yields and moderate selectivity. Furthermore, the synthesis of tin derivatives of fluorinated alkenes was studied to investigate their applicability in Stille-type cross-coupling reactions.

Summary: The research evaluated the dehydrogenation properties of several hydride-hydroxide systems and found that only the KH-LiOH system showed potential for reversible hydrogen adsorption/desorption, although rehydrogenation would require extremely high pressure.

Summary: This study investigates the relationship between hydride morphology, especially radial hydrides, stress state, and failure mechanisms associated with the ring compression test (RCT). The results show that the reorientation of hydrides significantly affects the RCT outcomes, confirming the interaction between hydride location and continuity with the hoop stress on crack initiation.

Summary: This manuscript describes a convenient, mild, and highly stereoselective method for the allylation of delta-hydroxy-alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones using allyltrimethylsilane mediated by BF3 center dot OEt2, resulting in 2,4-diallyl-2-methyl-6-aryltetrahydro-2H-pyran ring systems with quaternary carbon stereogenic centers. The isolation of TMS-protected lactol as an intermediate strongly supports the proposed mechanistic pathway.

Summary: This study reports a general approach for the allylation of oxa- and azabenzonorbornadienes by merging organophotoredox and nickel catalysis. The method allows for selective allylation of various heterocyclic alkene derivatives with a broader range of allylic acetate compounds. Notably, the reaction does not require air-sensitive organometallic species or metal reductants.

Summary: Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is widely used in biomedical applications due to its biodegradable and biocompatible nature. This study reports a one-pot mechanochemical synthesis method for preparing PLA-based nanoparticles (PLA-NPs), and an artificial neural network algorithm was developed and trained for optimization. The results demonstrate an efficient and waste-reducing method for preparing precisely defined nanoparticles.

Summary: In this study, fi-nitroenones were found to be effective building blocks for the synthesis of polyfunctionalized homoallylic alcohols and conjugated nitrotriene systems. The chemoselective addition of metal allylating agents to the ketone group and subsequent conversion into nitrotrienes were successfully achieved.

Summary: An efficient and short synthetic sequence for highly functionalized urazole derivatives has been reported. N-substituted-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione (TAD) was used as a versatile synthetic reagent. Simple reactions including allylation, ring-closing metathesis, and hydrogenation were successfully employed to construct oxygenated urazole derivatives, which may have implications in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis.

Summary: A convenient and efficient synthesis of 3-spiro cycloalkene fused 7-aza-2-indalones has been achieved via ring-closing metathesis (RCM) using Grubbs-II catalyst from 3,3'-di- or N,3,3'-tri-allyl/homoallyl/pentenyl 7-aza-2-indalones. The reaction scope was demonstrated by synthesizing spiro products of various ring sizes (n=5, 7, and 18) with different alkenylation agents as substrates. In addition to typical RCM products, a cross metathesis (CM) product and a macrocyclic, 18-membered bis-spirodiene were also observed.
