Summary: The long non-coding RNA UCC acts as a competing endogenous RNA of miR-143-3p and upregulates SOX5 by absorbing miR-143-3p, resulting in proliferation and migration of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells both in vitro and in vivo. UCC enhances carcinogenesis of NSCLC cells via the miR-143-3p/SOX5 axis, which may function as a novel target for NSCLC treatment.

Summary: In colorectal cancer, the lncRNA ILF3-AS1 and EZH2 levels are increased, while CDKN2A is reduced. The expression of ILF3-AS1 and EZH2 is associated with Dukes stage, distant metastasis, vascular invasion, and lymph node metastasis in CRC patients. Depletion of ILF3-AS1 or reduction of EZH2 inhibits proliferation, migration, colony formation, and invasion of CRC cells, promotes apoptosis, and attenuates tumor growth in CRC mice.

Summary: Both a-Humulene and sclareol in combination synergistically inhibit the growth of pancreatic cancer cells by inducing apoptosis, suppressing migration, invasion, and sphere formation. Mechanistically, the combination decreases the levels of NF-kappa B, pAkt, and Bcl-2 and increases the level of Bax. In addition, the combination also suppresses tumor growth in an in vivo xenograft model.

Summary: This study aimed to characterize the functions of pseudogene-derived long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) FAM207BP in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). High expression of FAM207BP in LUAD was associated with worse overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) time, and was significantly related to gender. Knockdown of FAM207BP suppressed cellular viability, migration, and invasion in LUAD cells, and its expression was negatively related to B cell infiltration levels. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) showed that high FAM207BP expression was involved in gene expression regulation, while low expression was related to immune response.
