Summary: This review critically analyzed studies on the use of OSCEs in post-registration nurse education, finding that OSCEs not only serve as an assessment tool but also enhance learning and increase participants' self-efficacy. OSCEs are recognized globally as a valuable tool for learning and assessment in post-registration nursing. While there is limited evidence supporting the impact of OSCEs in post-registration nurse education, further research is needed to evaluate the translation of knowledge gained from OSCEs into clinical practice and the effectiveness compared to traditional education methods.

Summary: This article provides a systematic review and thematic synthesis of interventions to increase retention of early career nurses during the pre-registration period. The results suggest that some interventions may lead to increased retention, but the conclusions are limited by the quality of reporting and scarcity of data. It is recommended to consider maximizing students' exposure to clinical practice and the potential benefits of interventions with alternative approaches such as psychological wellbeing programs.

Summary: This pilot study aims to explore and map the field of nursing education with regard to complementary non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) for nurses in Europe. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that massage, meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation are the most commonly taught NPIs, and anxiety, stress, chronic pain, depression, and sleep problems are the most common symptoms addressed. Currently, there is a lack of consistent and European approach to education for nurses on complementary NPIs and integrative nursing.
