Structural and Optical Characterization of Spin-Coated Perovskite MAPbI3-xBrx Nano-Needles

The presented paper discusses the synthesis of perovskite MAPbI(3 - x)Br(x) nano-needles on glass substrates using the spin coating technique. X-ray patterns confirmed the formation of the tetragonal phase. The size of crystallites remained almost constant with increasing Br concentration up to 25%. Optical measurements showed that the energy band gap increased linearly with the Br concentration, resulting in a blue shift in the absorption onset. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed the formation of needle-like shapes. The evolution of grain size is explained based on current studies.
