Summary: The success of regenerative endodontic procedures relies on various parameters including the nature of biomolecules or chemical compounds, hydrogel concentration, solubility of bioactive molecules, and apex size. The lack of knowledge regarding these parameters hinders the prediction of clinical outcomes and suggests the need for further research and development of mathematical models to predict the bioactivity of endodontic hydrogel.

Summary: Endodontic treatment aims to preserve teeth by removing infected tissue, disinfecting, and filling/sealing the root canal. The removal of microorganisms is crucial to prevent reinfection and tooth loss. Due to drug resistance, alternative procedures are needed. This study suggests using bioactive glass as an intracanal medication, which has been found to inhibit the growth of oral pathogens and greatly impact the success of endodontic treatments.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of commonly used endodontic irrigants on the setting time and metal composition of different base endodontic sealers. The results showed that the different irrigants had an impact on the setting time and metal composition of the sealers. MTA Fillapex had the shortest setting time, while Sealapex had the longest setting time. All tested sealers contained heavy metals, with Sealapex having the highest concentration. This study provides important insights into the interaction between different endodontic irrigants and sealers.

Summary: This ex-vivo study aimed to evaluate the influence of different dentinal conditioning methods on the bond values of various restorative materials. Results showed that total etch and rinse remains the gold standard, Er,Cr:YSGG showed potential as an alternative, and Multicore bulk fill composite is recommended regardless of dentine conditioning technique. Methylene blue photosensitizer as a dentin conditioner requires further investigation.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different types and combinations of temporary restorations on endodontic outcomes. The results showed that temporary restorations with CW/SDR and CF had the lowest bacterial and glucose leakage. It is recommended to use CW/SDR and CF for temporary sealing in endodontic treatments previously restored with methacrylate-based materials.

Summary: The evaluation of porosities within the interface of root canals obturated with bioactive endodontic sealers is important for long-term success. This study compared the volume and porosity of three sealers after initial and long-term storage. The results showed that the porosity of some sealers increased significantly after long-term storage, which could compromise the success of endodontic treatments.
