In ecology and evolutionary biology (EEB), there is an increasing focus on inclusivity. It is crucial to recognize the potential harm caused by the use of scientific terminology towards members of the research community. This article presents a framework for identifying and revising harmful language to promote inclusivity in EEB.
Amid a growing disciplinary com-mitment to inclusion in ecology and evolutionary biology (EEB), it is criti-cal to consider how the use of scien-tific language can harm members of our research community. Here, we outline a path for identifying and re-vising harmful terminology to foster inclusion in EEB.
