Summary: Anisotropic blue-green emitting CsPbBr3 nanocrystals with precise tunability of emission wavelength in the range of 475-500 nm have been synthesized using a spontaneous crystallization method. The growth process can be controlled by injecting an enhancement solution, allowing for excellent control over nanocrystal size. This study is of great importance for enhancing the functionality of these nanocrystals.

Summary: This study demonstrates a method for color-shifting of cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals using a macromolecular source of halide ions. The introduction of new halides to the nanocrystals results in perovskite-polymer hybrid materials that can be obtained as solutions, thin films, or free-flowing powders. Spectroscopic measurements show high photoluminescence quantum yields across the visible spectrum, and the exchange kinetics can be tuned based on the solution environment, allowing for the generation of multi-colored solutions and films.

Summary: Gut microbiota can produce aromatic amines, which are different from dietary sources. The production of these aromatic amines is related to the activity of aadc in gut bacteria and may have an impact on diseases such as osteoporosis and irritable bowel syndrome. Human AADC inhibitors can inhibit the production of aromatic amines in gut bacteria.

Summary: A ligand-mediated strategy was proposed to synthesize gamma-phase CsPbI3 perovskite NCs in non-polar solvent at room temperature for the first time. This method showed superior universality as evidenced by the successful synthesis of efficient red-green-blue CsPbX3 NCs, indicating that room-temperature synthesis could avoid the tediousness of typical hot-injection at high temperatures.

Summary: Strain engineering is used to regulate the binding of intermediates and modify catalytic behavior on nanocatalysts. In this study, Pd-based nanooctahedrons coated with two Ir overlayers were constructed and subject to different treatments to achieve different surface strains. It is shown that the catalytic performances of these nanocatalysts display a volcano-shaped curve against strains toward the hydrogen evolution reaction. Specifically, o-Pd/Ir-1.7% NPs exhibit superior catalytic performance, making it one of the most active electrocatalysts reported to date.

Summary: Understanding the inner mechanism and unstable factors of inorganic perovskite nanocrystals in solvents is crucial for their fundamental studies and applications in photonic devices. By combining molecular dynamics simulations and first principle calculations, the kinetic process of lattice distortion and self-assembly in solutions is revealed. Tailoring the bond energies allows the realization of nanocrystal arrays and single-crystalline nanowires based on all-inorganic perovskite nanocrystals.

Summary: The study developed a simple method to tune the emission color of lanthanide-based upconversion nanophosphors by varying the concentration of the pyroglutamic acid derivative as a capping agent, resulting in a visual color tuning from red to green. The change in color was accompanied by a transformation in the morphological and crystal structure of the nanostructures.

Summary: This study successfully immobilizes single Pt atoms onto FAPbBr(3-x)I(x) perovskite substrates, creating an efficient photocatalyst for the splitting of hydrohalic acid. Experimental and theoretical investigations demonstrate the individual immobilization of Pt atoms, coordinated with surface halide anions, resulting in enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution activity and high solar-to-hydrogen efficiency.

Summary: This study reveals a facile approach to control the shape and exposed facets of lead-free methylammonium bismuth iodide perovskite single crystals through a ligand-mediated strategy, shedding light on the mechanism behind it. The preparation of centimeter-scaled (110) facet MA(3)Bi(2)I(9) single crystals by this method is believed to be more suitable for commercial applications.

Summary: The genetic background of a protein influences site-specific amino acid preferences. Changes in preferences for resident amino acids can be both adaptive and nonadaptive, and negative shifts in preferences should not be taken as conclusive evidence of adaptation. Stabilizing replacements decrease the propensity for resident amino acids while destabilizing substitutions tend to favor them.
