Summary: In recent years, there has been increasing international attention on the research of SMEs' eco-innovation (EI). However, there is a lack of global research panorama in this field. This study aims to fill this knowledge gap by using scientometric tools. A total of 749 articles from ISI web of science core collection were collected and analyzed, revealing new conclusions in this domain. The results indicate that the research topics on SMEs' EI are changing dynamically and becoming more diverse. The newest research frontiers align with previous knowledge while reflecting novelty, showing correlation and adaptation to the latest development. It is recommended for researchers to adopt the paradigm of open innovation, and further exploration is warranted on barriers, categories, processes, outcomes, and other similar themes related to SMEs' EI. Inter-regional, inter-institutional, and interdisciplinary perspectives are hopeful for future research avenues. Practitioners can also draw useful inspirations from this study to develop SMEs' EI.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between disaggregated energy use, human development, trade openness, economic growth, urbanization, and sustainability index in OECD countries from 2014 to 2019. The study employs static, quantile, and dynamic panel data approaches. The findings indicate that fossil fuels have a negative impact on sustainability, while alternative energy sources contribute positively to sustainable socioeconomic development. It is noteworthy that alternative energy sources have a strong influence on socioeconomic sustainability in different quantiles. Additionally, human development index and trade openness enhance sustainability, while urbanization poses challenges in achieving sustainability goals within OECD countries. Policymakers should prioritize mitigating fossil fuels and urbanization and promoting human development, trade openness, and alternative energy sources in order to achieve sustainable development.
