Summary: The United Nations 2030 Agenda takes a holistic and multi-sectoral view on sustainability through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the successful implementation of this agenda depends on understanding the synergies and trade-offs among SDGs. A case study in the Goulburn-Murray region in Victoria, Australia identified clean water and sanitation, agricultural activities, economic growth, climate action, and life on land as the top five priority SDGs for the region, highlighting potential trade-offs between unsustainable agricultural practices and water resources, the environment, and sustainable economic growth. Ongoing uncertainties like climate change, policies on environmental water recovery, international markets, and emerging technologies could pose risks for the future of agriculture and the economy.

Summary: Accelerating challenges have led to a growing interest in assessing the resilience and sustainability of future developments. Many countries have adopted the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for sustainable development goals (SDGs), which include resilience as a component of sustainability. However, the SDGs have been criticized for not thoroughly evaluating resilience. This study compares the SDGs indicators with a comprehensive baseline resilience framework (BRF) and evaluates the extent to which the SDGs measure resilience.

Summary: Although there is potential to enhance linkages between the tourism industry and food production systems, there are significant constraints to developing these relationships, particularly for small island developing states (SIDS). Incorporating local produce into resort menus remains difficult, as large-scale multinational resorts may not be ideal partners for food producers in developing countries like SIDS.

Summary: In order to reduce the negative impact of excessive fossil fuel usage and achieve a cleaner environment, researchers have encouraged the global community to explore alternative energy sources, in line with the Glasgow Climate Pact (COP26). This study examines the relationship between CO2 emissions, energy depletion, renewable energy development, and economic growth in the USA from 1980 to 2019. The results show that economic growth has a negative impact on the ecological balance in the USA, while energy depletion has a short and long-term negative effect on CO2 emissions, improving environmental sustainability. Transitioning to renewable energy sources also reduces overall pollution in the long run.

Summary: This study examines the long-term relationship between financial inclusion, information and communication technology infrastructure, fossil fuel usage, participatory democracy, and renewable energy use in G7 countries. The results show significant evidence of a long-term relationship between these variables. Financial inclusion has a negative impact on renewable energy use, while information and communication technology infrastructure has a positive impact. Fossil fuel consumption adversely affects renewable energy use. Government policies, financial innovation, and knowledge dissemination are recommended to promote renewable energy use, with citizen engagement and decentralized decision-making playing important roles.

Summary: Given the current levels of pollution and global warming concerns, this research examines the concept of eco-anxiety among consumers and its impact on them. Data from consumers in India and Italy were collected and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results suggest that consumers tend to avoid thinking about environmental crises, normalizing their situation. Eco-anxiety positively influences emotional dissonance, and escapism is positively related to this construct. However, intentions to buy green products were found to be insignificant.
