Summary: This study evaluated swallowing and voice functions in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Results showed higher penetration-aspiration scores and eating assessment tool scores in patients with ankylosing spondylitis compared to healthy individuals. Significant differences were also found in phonation evaluation measures between the two groups, suggesting a negative impact on swallowing quality and phonation ability in ankylosing spondylitis patients. Monitoring for food aspiration is recommended for these patients.

Summary: This study compared the effects of two different forearm positions on the outcomes of biceps tenodesis. The results showed that patients who underwent fixation in the pronation-extension position had better functional scores at 3 and 6 months postoperatively. This suggests that a simple change in the fixation position can reduce pain in the early period.

Summary: The effectiveness of dry needling (DN) for neck pain in fibromyalgia caused by myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) in the trapezius muscle was assessed in this study. The results showed that DN treatment administered once a week for four sessions was beneficial in the short term, improving pain, neck disability, sleep quality, anxiety, depression levels, and fibromyalgia severity. The study highlights the importance of addressing MTrPs in the management of fibromyalgia patients and suggests DN treatment as an effective option.
