Summary: This study focuses on the issue of excessive pesticide residue in vegetables and explores the factors and mechanisms influencing vegetable farmers' green pesticide application behavior. The study found that behavioral attitude and behavioral feedback perception are the precursor variables affecting vegetable farmers' green pesticide application behavior. Government supervision and market regulation are external factors that regulate the relationship between pesticide application motivation and behavior. It is recommended to strengthen social reference and norms and provide driving strategies to improve pesticide application quality and ensure vegetable safety.

Summary: This paper analyzes the green production efficiency (GPE) and spatial divergence of the hog breeding industry in China. The study finds that GPE has increased over the years, but there are significant differences in efficiency among different regions. Labor input, non-point source pollution, resource endowment, and environmental load bearing are identified as the main driving factors for spatial divergence. Therefore, promoting advanced technologies and reducing spatial disparities are essential for improving the GPE of the hog breeding industry.

Summary: This study examines the predictive power of oil shocks for the green bond markets. Our findings show that oil shocks are reliable predictors for green bond indices, and the predictive models perform consistently across different forecasting horizons. However, the predictive power of oil shocks declined during the COVID crisis period. The study also discusses some policy implications of these findings.

Summary: This study evaluates and compares the growth of green finance through green bond issuance in different countries, and also assesses the impact of this growth on the dependence on fossil fuels. By using the entropy technique and constructing empirical models, it is found that there is a negative correlation between green finance growth and dependence on fossil fuel consumption. The results suggest that the proliferation of green finance instruments can reduce reliance on fossil fuels and facilitate the transition towards a carbon-negative world.

Summary: This study aims to reveal the spatial-temporal evolution and influential mechanism of green efficiency in the Yellow River Basin (YRB) region. A novel integrated DEA-Tobit model is proposed to fill the research gap, and the results show an unbalanced state of green development efficiency (GDE) in the YRB region. Economic development, technological innovation, and foreign capital utilization positively affect GDE, while industrial structure, urbanization levels, and environmental regulation have negative effects.

Summary: In recent years, disturbances have significantly affected terrestrial ecosystems in arid and semi-arid regions, particularly the Mongolian Plateau. This study explored the complex relationship between the natural environment and net primary productivity (NPP) in the ecologically fragile and sensitive region. The findings revealed the spatial distribution of NPP and identified key factors such as vegetation cover, precipitation, soil moisture, and solar radiation that influence NPP variations. The study also demonstrated the importance of understanding these mechanisms for regional vegetation management.

Summary: The study compares the uptake of green bonds in Norway and Sweden, finding that Sweden has experienced faster growth due to a business culture and financial institutions focused on sustainability, as well as a larger and more diversified corporate sector. In contrast, Norway's green bond uptake has been hindered by competition with high yield investments in oil & gas and shipping, an energy sector that deems green bonds unnecessary, and small municipalities unable to issue green bonds. The experience from Sweden suggests that other countries looking to promote green bonds should prioritize sustainability leadership, collaboration between issuers and investors, and active communication and disclosure of sustainable finance activities.

Summary: China is a major mariculture country for shellfish and contributes over 70% of global shellfish production. However, there is limited understanding of the driving factors of the ecosystem service value of mariculture shellfish in China. This study found that both resource distribution characteristics and market demand are important factors, with market demand playing a more significant role. The findings suggest the need to actively respond to changes in shellfish market demand, enhance development planning for coastal shellfish cultivation areas, and strengthen the management of mariculture shellfish resources.

Summary: In the context of global pursuit of sustainable development and China's dual carbon goals, this study analyzed the relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth, as well as the driving factors of carbon emissions in the Yellow River Basin of China from 2001 to 2019. The results showed that the decoupling state of CO2 and economic growth in the Yellow River Basin exhibited a trend of expansion negative decoupling - expansion connection - weak decoupling - strong decoupling. The study also identified various factors that influenced carbon emissions, including economic intensity, population size, carbon emission intensity, industrial structure, and energy structure.

Summary: This study analyzes the characteristics of process parameters in three lean gas ethane recovery processes and establishes a prediction and multiobjective optimization model for ethane recovery and system energy consumption. A new method for comparing ethane recovery processes for lean gas is proposed, and the addition of extra coolers improves the ethane recovery. The support vector regression model based on grey wolf optimization demonstrates the highest prediction accuracy, and the multiobjective multiverse optimization algorithm shows the best optimization performance and diversity in the solutions.

Summary: The paper proposes a novel deep learning-based prediction framework, aTCN-LSTM, for accurate cooling load predictions. The framework utilizes a gate-controlled multi-head temporal convolutional network and a sparse probabilistic self-attention mechanism with a bidirectional long short-term memory network to capture both temporal and long-term dependencies in the cooling load sequences. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method, which can serve as an effective guide for HVAC chiller scheduling and demand management initiatives.

Summary: This study uses survey data from the Loess Plateau in China to evaluate the impact of social interaction on the adoption of soil and water conservation (SWC) technology by farmers. The study finds that social interaction increases the likelihood of farmers adopting SWC, and internet use moderates this effect. The positive impact of social interaction on SWC adoption is more pronounced for farmers in larger villages and those who join cooperative societies.
