Summary: In this study, amid ligated aluminum hydride complexes were successfully synthesized via dehydrocoupling pathway, and their molecular structures were determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Two different products were isolated depending on the proportion of reagents, and a further reaction with another compound resulted in the formation of a new complex.

Summary: Two novel bismuth oxosalts, β-Bi3O3(VO4) and KBi5O5(PO4)2, were synthesized hydrothermally. Both compounds crystallize in different space groups and their crystal structures consist of corrugated layers formed by the linkage of oxo-centered OBi4 or OBi4, OBi5, and O(Bi,K)4 tetrahedra sharing edges. Raman and photoluminescence spectra were measured for both compounds.

Summary: The study found that secondary minerals could effectively remove toxic elements such as arsenic and thallium. In environments polluted by mining, these elements were abundant and a large percentage of total arsenic and thallium could be mobilized easily into the environment. Furthermore, new thallium arsenate phases were identified, highlighting the need for further research on thallium speciation in extremely arsenic- and thallium-rich environments.
