Summary: A new species of strictly aerobic, Gram-stain-negative, gliding, rod-shaped bacteria belonging to the genus Fulvivirga was isolated from a surface seawater sample collected at Gunsan marina, Republic of Korea. The strain, designated S481(T), exhibited distinct characteristics and genetic differences compared to other known species of the genus. Based on phenotypic and genotypic analysis, the name Fulvivirga lutea sp. nov. is proposed for this novel species.

Summary: A Gram-straining-negative, facultatively anaerobic, motile marine bacterium with a polar flagellum and rod-shaped morphology, named S4M6T, was isolated from surface seawater in Dongshan Bay, Fujian, PR China. Through phylogenetic and phylogenomic analysis, it was determined that S4M6T belongs to the genus Vibrio, and its closest relatives were Vibrio marisflavi CGMCC 1.8994T, Vibrio variabilis LMG 25438T, Vibrio gangliei SZDIS-1T, and Vibrio aestivus M22T. Based on polyphasic evidence, S4M6T is proposed as a novel species of Vibrio, named Vibrio sinus sp. nov. The importance of this article is rated 8 out of 10.

Summary: A novel Gram-stain-negative bacterial strain, designated C281T, was isolated from seawater at the Marshallese seamount chain. It showed 92.7% sequence similarity with Membranihabitans marinus CZ-AZ5T based on 16S rRNA gene analysis. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that it formed a distinctive lineage within the family Saprospiraceae. The isolate represents a new species of the genus Membranihabitans, named Membranihabitans maritimus sp. nov. (type strain C281T=KCTC 92171T=MCCC M27001T).
