Summary: This study introduces the concept of generative capability, which refers to the unique capability of firms to organize experiential learning activities for fast and iterative innovation. The study employs an inductive case study and a survey to explore the theoretical framework, identify dimensions, and develop measurement scales for generative capability. The findings show that generative capability can be measured by knowledge acquisition, knowledge inheritance, and knowledge updating, and is positively associated with firm innovation performance.

Summary: This study examines the direct effect of innovation capability on value creation, as well as the mediating role of frugal innovation and the moderating role of knowledge sharing in this relationship. The findings confirm a significant positive impact of innovation capability on value creation. It is also found that frugal innovation mediates the link between innovation capability and value creation, and knowledge sharing strengthens this association. This research provides valuable insights and guidance for the sustainable advancement of SMEs in the circular economy.

Summary: The study examines the impact of organizational antecedents on knowledge management capability and its influence on innovation strategy in SMEs, with the moderating effect of environmental dynamism. Data collected from SME owners in Malaysia was analyzed using structural equation modeling in SmartPLS software. Results indicate a positive effect of formal structure, selection policies, incentives, and training and development policies on knowledge management capability, while innovation culture had no effect. Additionally, knowledge management capability has a significant positive impact on innovation strategy, which is further strengthened by environmental dynamism.

Summary: Although many studies have examined eco-innovation in various industries, the factors driving eco-innovation in the tourism sector have not been identified. This study investigates the impact of intensive use of knowledge sources on eco-innovation in tourism firms, as well as the mediating role of traditional firm orientation in product and/or process innovation. Two sets of data were used: panel data from 199 tourism firms in Spain from 2011 to 2015, and primary data collected via questionnaire from 198 tourism firms in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results indicate a significant distinction between product/service and process innovation, with tourism firms relying on process innovation for eco-innovation.
