Summary: This study compared the surgical outcomes of single-port access total laparoscopic hysterectomy (SPA-TLH) and hybrid robotic single-site hysterectomy (RSSH). A total of 64 patients underwent either hybrid RSSH or SPA-TLH for benign gynecologic disease. The results showed that there were no significant differences in surgical outcomes between the two groups, but the hybrid RSSH group had a shorter colpotomy time and a longer vaginal cuff closure time.

Summary: The study compared the recurrence rate of uterovaginal prolapse in patients undergoing total vaginal hysterectomy with uterosacral ligament suspension versus supracervical hysterectomy with mesh sacrocervicopexy. Results showed a higher rate and shorter time-to-recurrence in the former group, while the latter group had lower mesh complications.

Summary: This study compared two surgical methods for uterovaginal prolapse recurrence and found that total vaginal hysterectomy with uterosacral ligament suspension had a higher rate of recurrence and shorter time to recurrence compared to laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy with mesh sacrocervicopexy. The sacrocervicopexy group had a risk of mesh complications.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the superiority of music therapy intervention in reducing preoperative anxiety of patients undergoing TLH for nononcologic indications. Results showed that women in the music group experienced lower anxiety levels during the preoperative period. Additionally, the proportion of women with pathologic anxiety was significantly lower in the music group during the preoperative and early postoperative periods compared to the control group.

Summary: The study aimed to assess the pelvic floor anatomy changes in primigravidae during and after pregnancy that lead to pelvic floor disorders (PFDs). Different patterns of pelvic floor anatomical changes were observed in vacuum extraction delivery, cesarean section, and vaginal delivery, with factors like connective tissue weakness and high fetal weight identified as significant risk factors for PFD occurrence. The study highlights the importance of postpartum care services and pelvic floor muscle training in preventing future PFDs, despite the common occurrence of urinary incontinence and discomfort during sexual intercourse postpartum.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the impact of regular physical activity before and during pregnancy on the quality of life throughout pregnancy. A total of 218 pregnant women were recruited from 11 outpatient clinics between July 2020 and May 2021. Data were collected through a panel format from the 10th gestational week for a 20-week period, also including a time point prior to pregnancy. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire, EQ-5D-3L questionnaire, and EQ-VAS questionnaire were used to assess physical exercise, health-related quality of life, and self-estimated health status. The study found that physical activity decreased significantly during pregnancy, with a reduction in the duration of strenuous activities. Continuous physical activity was associated with higher life quality scores, and regular participation in moderate and strenuous activities was linked to higher self-estimated health status.
