Summary: This study aimed to explore the relationships between clinical teaching behaviour and transition shock in newly graduated nurses, as well as significant differences between the northwest and northeast regions of China. The results showed a negative correlation between transition shock and clinical teaching behaviour in both regions, with higher transition shock in the northwest due to a lagging economy and natural limitations. The study concluded that the transition process for newly graduated nurses in the northeast region, with ethnic minorities and a lagging economy, was more difficult and required improvement in personal health and supportive environments. Additionally, teaching strategies for preceptors should be enhanced, and two-way feedback would be beneficial for improving quality care and holistic care.

However, the effectiveness of feedback-seeking managers may be hindered by lower self-efficacy. Analysis of data and studies provide preliminary evidence in support of these arguments in the context of justice and feedback-seeking literature.
