The sensor activity in detecting hydrogen in ZnO-In2O3 composites is compared, showing higher activity in the impregnated composites due to the catalytic activity of ZnO clusters on the surface of larger In2O3 nanocrystals.
The sensor activity in the detection of hydrogen in ZnO-In2O3 composites obtained by impregnating In2O3 powder nanoparticles by zinc nitrate and mixing the standard nanoparticles of powders of zinc and indium oxides is compared. A higher sensor activity of the impregnated composites is found, which is due to the catalytic activity of ZnO clusters up to 10 nm in size located on the surface of larger In2O3 nanocrystals.
