Summary: The research on resource-constrained hybrid flowshop problem led to the proposal of a discrete imperialist competitive algorithm (DICA) to minimize makespan and energy consumption. The algorithm represents solutions using two-dimensional vectors, with one for scheduling sequence and the other for machine assignment, and incorporates a decoding method considering resource allocation. By combining DICA with simulated annealing algorithm (SA), the proposed approach showed high efficiency in solving the RCHFS problem.

Summary: This paper proposes a selective harmonic active tuning control method for hybrid active power filters, which controls the VSI as a virtual capacitance to tune the dominant harmonic frequencies of the LC filter and improve harmonic filtering characteristics. Moreover, in cases of small power grid impedance or resonances between an LC filter and the grid impedance, detecting harmonics in the grid source current and feeding back to the controller can simulate the effect of adding harmonic resistance on the grid source side.

Summary: This study aims to estimate hydraulic fracturing costs and develop long- and short-term strategies in block caving mining. By using a fuzzy inference system and considering uncertainty and cost contingency rate, three possible scenarios were proposed. Flexible cost estimation helps determine the scale of infrastructure and ore production, while solving the uncertainty of fuzzy calculation values.

Summary: This article presents a hybrid nonsingleton fuzzy strong tracking Kalman filter (H-NFSTKF) for the high-precision photoelectric tracking system (PTS) to improve state estimation performance. The proposed H-NFSTKF is composed of a strong tracking Kalman filter (STKF) and two fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) including a singleton FLS (SFLS) and a nonsingleton FLS (NFLS). Different nonsingleton firing strength approaches are discussed and compared. The superiority of the proposed H-NFSTKF is verified through comparative simulation analyses and experimental results.

Summary: This article presents a new control scheme that utilizes the concept of virtual admittance to reduce injection current harmonics, aiming to maintain and improve the quality of power produced by renewable energy sources when the local grid voltage is distorted. The method of obtaining the virtual admittance function is simpler and completely different, and its constituent loop is outside the main control loop of the injection current. This approach does not interfere with important issues such as the stability of the inverter control system, making it a promising solution for harmonic compensation.
