The absolute vapour pressures of amino-alcohols were measured using the transpiration method, and a consistent set of standard molar enthalpies of vaporization for these compounds was evaluated using empirical and structure-property correlations. The averaged values of vaporization enthalpies are recommended as reliable benchmark properties for thermochemical calculations.
The absolute vapour pressures of four amino-alcohols were measured using the transpiration method. A consistent set of standard molar enthalpies of vaporization for eighteen amino-alcohols was evaluated using empirical and structure-property correlations. The averaged values of vaporization enthalpies are recommended as reliable benchmark properties for thermochemical calculations of the energetics of chemical reactions including synthesis of alkyl-substituted pyrazines, compounds considered as seminal liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC) (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
