Hospital data from the National Healthcare Safety Network were analyzed to assess changes in pathogens attributed to central-line-associated bloodstream infections between 2019 and 2020. It was observed that there were increases in the proportions of pathogens identified as Enterococcus faecalis and coagulase-negative staphylococci during 2020 compared to 2019.
