In this study, the spectral collocation method and finite-element method (FEM) were employed to numerically solve the Fokker-Planck (FP) equation. The validity of these methods was confirmed by comparing them with an analytical approximation for high energy barriers. The numerical methods were then used to analyze a thermally activated switching case.
