Summary: An ultrawideband, 3-D printed endfire TEM horn antenna with a cylinder conductor is proposed. The antenna consists of four parts: a metal exponential curve, a trapezoidal metal top cover, a cylindrical ground, and a metal ridge. A prototype is 3-D printed to validate the antenna's performance, and it exhibits a broad bandwidth from 1 to 16 GHz with a good radiation pattern and a measured gain ranging from 3.5 to 11.5 dBi.

Summary: This paper proposes a bendable coplanar waveguide antenna with a small size of 30 x 30 x 0.05 mm3, which combines the advantages of fractal antenna and serpentine antenna to realize the ultra-wideband feature. The structure of the antenna was optimized by simulation and fabricated on a flexible polyimide substrate by inkjet printing. The experimental results show that the antenna has anti-interference capability and can meet the ultra-wideband characteristics.

Summary: This paper discusses an elliptical ultrawideband (UWB) antenna and a dual-band UWB notch antenna. The UWB antenna achieves a bandwidth of 2.5-11 GHz with a gain of 4.9 dB and a linear phase response. The dual-band UWB notch antenna rejects WLAN and ITU bands from 5.2-5.7 GHz and 7.2-8.5 GHz, respectively, within the impedance bandwidth of 2.5-11 GHz.

Summary: In this communication, a novel compact single whip wideband antenna with an improved omnidirectional wideband antenna is proposed. The single whip antenna shows a wide impedance matching performance in a frequency range from 194 to 2124 MHz, while an improved omnidirectional radiation pattern is achieved by co-designing three whipped antennas. The measured performance of the fabricated antenna agrees well with the simulation results.

Summary: This paper proposes a transparent ultrawideband halved coplanar Vivaldi antenna with metal mesh film, which has the advantages of UWB impedance matching, miniaturized aperture size, high directivity, and simple feed structure. By using metal mesh film with low sheet resistance and high optical transmittance, the antenna is entirely transparent.

Summary: This paper evaluates the application of a designed antenna for microwave imaging, which is the smallest UWB antenna designed for breast cancer detection at the time of publication. The smaller size of the antenna poses challenges in microwave imaging as it may cause more clutter in the image. Simulation results showed successful detection of tumors using 16 UWB antennas with hemispherical arrangement, and experimental results proved that the designed antenna in an array of 16 antennas is capable of detecting tumors in different locations.

Summary: This paper presents a compact endfire leaky wave antenna based on coplanar stripline with narrow width property under a new operation mechanism. The proposed antenna generates leaky region of its fundamental mode in the coplanar stripline with forward beam scanning property, and realizes endfire radiation at a specific frequency. The antenna's small overall size is due to the relatively low cutoff frequency of the leaky region. The leakage constant and characteristic impedance of the antenna are investigated with the full-wave extraction method.
