Summary: To assess the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines among public K-12 teachers and staff in Arkansas, the Arkansas Department of Health evaluated the vaccination status of 66,076 individuals using the state immunization registry. After 13 weeks of availability, 51.2% of teachers and staff had received at least one dose of vaccine, with lower uptake in rural areas. Vaccine hesitancy may be a contributing factor to the lower vaccination rates in certain factions of the teacher and staff population.

Summary: This is the first systematic literature review on stress and burnout in K-12 teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The review identified 17 studies with a total of 9,874 K-12 teachers from around the world. The findings showed an increase in burnout during the pandemic, but there were no significant differences in stress and burnout levels between K-12 teachers and individuals in other occupations. School principals' leadership styles and individual teacher characteristics were identified as important factors influencing teachers' stress and burnout levels. Combining stress management training with training in technology use for teaching may be more effective in reducing stress for teachers.
