Summary: The study evaluated the outcomes of intra-procedural deep mural injury (DMI) in large non-pedunculated colorectal polyps (LNPCPs) undergoing endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). It found that significant DMI can be managed endoscopically with high success rates and does not impact technical success or recurrence.

Summary: This study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of endoscopic submucosa dissection (ESD) compared with endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) in treating early-stage stomach cancer. The meta-analysis results showed that there was no significant difference between EMR and ESD in terms of postoperative hemorrhage, but EMR had a lower rate of postoperative perforation.

Summary: This study compared the outcomes of endoscopic treatment for different sizes of duodenal neuroendocrine tumors (DNET). The study found that in lesions smaller than 10 mm, both conventional EMR and modified EMR had similar histologic complete resection rates, but the modified EMR group had a higher risk of perforation. Overall, endoscopic treatment is feasible and effective for nonampullary DNET sized less than 10 mm and limited to mucosal and submucosal layer.

Summary: This study compared the tissue effects of different electrosurgical currents during endoscopic mucosal resection in a porcine model. The results showed that for snare resection, there was no significant difference between MCC and LPCC in terms of tissue effects on the colon wall. However, for margin ablation, APC was less uniform and complete compared with STSC.

Summary: This study investigated the efficacy of endoscopic retreatment for residual or recurrent adenoma after endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of large non-pedunculated colorectal polyps (LNPCPs) of >= 20mm. The results showed that endoscopic retreatment is an effective treatment method, with long-term adenoma remission of over 90%.

Summary: EMR-P is superior to CEMR in removing sessile colorectal polyps sized 10-20 mm, particularly polyps > 15 mm in diameter, with higher R0 and en bloc resection rates and without increasing adverse events.

Summary: ESD is the standard treatment for early-stage esophageal neoplasia, but difficulties such as failure of en bloc resection or perforation may occur. Studies have shown that larger lesion diameter and previous chemoradiotherapy are independent predictive factors for these difficulties.

Summary: The study found that the use of CSI-EMR does not increase the complete or en bloc resection rate of colorectal lesions with SSL endoscopic features, but does increase the R0 resection rate. Although the procedure time is longer for CSI-EMR, there is no significant difference in adverse events or recurrence rate compared to EMR. Further evaluation is needed to assess the association of CSI-EMR with R0 resection and non-recurrence.

Summary: This study evaluated factors associated with complete closure of mucosal defects after EMR of large polyps, finding that factors such as polyp size, access, resection method, and histology were related to complete clip closure. While many factors are not modifiable, the study highlights the need for alternative closure options and bleeding prevention measures.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the risk factors for perforation during endoscopic resection (ER) of gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (gGISTs). The study found that non-intraluminal growth patterns, tumors located in the gastric fundus, larger tumor size (≥2 cm), tumors in the lesser curvature, and tumors in the gastric cardia were independent risk factors for perforation during ER of gGISTs.
