The findings provide valuable insights for clinicians, managers and researchers to adapt and implement interventions aimed at reducing rationed and missed nursing care.

Summary: This study aimed to translate, adapt and validate the Basel Extent of Rationing of Nursing Care instrument for use in the Swedish community health care context. Data collection was done through a questionnaire sent to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and assistant nurses. The study resulted in a usable instrument for Enrolled Nurses and nurse assistants in community health care, but further testing is needed to refine the content and test reliability and validity.
