Spinel LiMn2O4, for the first time, is synthesized by a novel plasma-enhanced low-temperature solid-state strategy. The LiMn2O4 shows superior performance with higher capacity and significantly improved cycling stability. The plasma-enhanced strategy offers a new technique for efficient synthesis of electrode materials for batteries.
