Summary: Proxy internet use has been identified as a viable strategy for achieving tangible internet outcomes and overcoming digital exclusion. This study distinguishes between proxy users who perform online activities for others and users-by-proxy, for whom activities are performed, proposing a model to understand how proxy use and use-by-proxy mediate the effects of internet skills on internet uses and outcomes. The results show positive pathways between operational and creative skills, proxy use, internet uses, and outcomes, indicating the importance of framing proxy internet use within established models of digital exclusion.

Summary: The study examines the combined effects of age and digital competence on the use of online health and social care services. The results suggest that older adults have a lower likelihood of using these services, and although good digital competence can alleviate this decline, it is only effective up to around the age of 80. Digital exclusion is a risk for older adults, and health and social care providers should offer easy-to-use online services and provide more digital support and training opportunities.

Summary: This study examines the associations between Views on aging (VoA) and technology use, skills, and attitudes among older adults. The results show that positive self-perceptions of age-related changes are positively associated with technology skills and attitudes, while negative self-perceptions are negatively associated with technology skills, attitudes, and general technology use. Subjective age, however, does not show significant associations with any technology-related measures. These findings highlight the importance of considering multidimensional measures of VoA when studying the relationship between individuals' aging experiences and technology adoption.

Summary: An increasing number of older adults are using the Internet in their daily life, but limited understanding of the breadth of Internet use exists. This study found positive associations between individual factors such as behavioral control, gender, age, and education level, and the breadth of Internet use. These findings indicate that digital inequality regarding the range of online activities still persists, despite the increased percentage of users.

Summary: The study found that students' self-regulation skills are weakened in digital environments, while social skills are more variable. High frequencies and durations of fun activities in digital environments may lower students' self-regulation ratings, but increase their social skills ratings. High levels of parental monitoring are associated with students' self-regulation ratings.

Summary: This study investigated the PA skills of autistic children aged 6-12, comparing their performance on a PA task with matched non-autistic children. The results showed no difference in PA skills between the two groups, and indicated that perceptual reasoning skills are associated with PA skills in autistic participants. These findings emphasize the importance of non-verbal cognitive skills in literacy development for autistic children, suggesting that their perceptual reasoning abilities play a significant role in learning to read.
