Summary: This study investigates the inclusion complex of Fast Violet B and cyclodextrins into pseudopolyrotaxane nanorods through supramolecular self-assembly. Experimental results suggest that the formation of the complex is enthalpy-entropy driven process. Various analytical methods confirm the encapsulation of FVB into cyclodextrins nano cavities and reveal the structural changes.

Summary: This study investigates the formation of stereocomplexes (SCs) using PLLA-PEG-PLLA and PDLA-PEG-PDLA, and the subsequent formation of pseudo-polyrotaxanes (PPRX) with alpha-, beta-, and gamma-cyclodextrins (CDs). The inclusion of CDs in aqueous solutions is challenging due to the strong SC structure, but can be achieved by using a mixed solvent. This study highlights the importance of axle-axle interactions in PPRX formation, termed the "SC pseudo-capping effect".

Summary: A simple and effective method was proposed to prepare two kinds of water-soluble pseudo-polyrotaxane cross-linkers based on cyclodextrin, making it more convenient to apply the pulley effect to a wider range of hydrogels. The hydrogels prepared using pseudo-polyrotaxane cross-linkers showed better swelling ratios and deformation ability compared to those prepared using conventional cross-linkers.

Summary: In this study, a facile strategy was reported to enhance the thermal and mechanical properties of polylactide (PLA) aerogels through stereocomplexation. The crystalline pure stereocomplex (SC) aerogels showed improved melting temperature, thermal stability, mechanical strength, and sound absorption ability compared to homopolymer aerogels.

Summary: This study reports the synthesis and block copolymerization of three different glycidyl amines, leading to diblock terpolymers that can self-assemble into micelles with potential applications in drug delivery. These micelles exhibit pH-dependent disassembly or structural changes, as well as the ability to encapsulate and release hydrophobic small molecules under specific triggers.

Summary: Polylactides (PLAs) are attractive polymers due to their biocompatibility and biodegradability, and the formation of stereocomplexes is seen as a promising method for developing new materials. Electrospinning is an efficient technique for producing fibrous materials of stereocomplexes of PLA, with improved thermal and hydrolytic stability, enhanced mechanical behavior, and thermal sterilizability for diverse applications.

Summary: This study demonstrates a reversible tuning of fluorescence of aggregation-induced emission (AIE) materials by utilizing multiple host-guest interactions of polypseudorotaxanes (PPRs). The incorporation of tetraphenylethylene (TPE) into polyurethane chains through specific interactions with gamma-cyclodextrins (γ-CDs) allows for efficient switching of TPE fluorescence emission. By introducing tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine (TCEP) and alpha-amylase, the reversible cycle of disaggregation and aggregation of TPE units in PPR is achieved.

Summary: Polyphosphoesters have attracted renewed interest for biomedical applications due to their biocompatibility, degradability, and functionalities. However, their commercial use as biomaterials is limited by the difficult sourcing of their monomers and the corrosive nature of their intermediates. This study presents a groundbreaking approach for sourcing cyclic phosphate monomers using continuous flow technologies, which allows for safe and efficient synthesis of versatile cyclic phosphate monomers on a large scale.

Summary: Block copolymers based on ethylene and butadiene were synthesized using a specific catalyst and chain-transfer agent. By adjusting the monomer feed ratio, block copolymers with both soft ethylene butadiene rubber and hard polyethylene segments were obtained. The self-assembly of these copolymers during polymerization was demonstrated.

Summary: In this study, a kinetic mechanism describing the formation of Pseudopolyrotaxanes (PPRs) in the solid phase was proposed, and the effects of working variables on the reaction kinetics were investigated. The vibrational changes during the threading stage and the characteristic reflections in the X-ray diffraction patterns of the crystalline PPRs were observed using Fourier-transform infrared attenuated total reflection spectroscopy and XRD, respectively. The temperature, feed ratio, molar mass of the polymer, and the introduction of an amorphous block in the polymer structure were found to influence the kinetics of the reaction.

Summary: The fluorine-containing ABC triblock copolymer vesicles (PEG-b-PS-b-PVBFP) were successfully synthesized using reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization under dispersed conditions. The synthesized PEG45-b-PS197-b-PVBFP233 vesicles exhibited a relatively large size of around 216 nm and a thin vesicular membrane with a thickness of around 28 nm. It was concluded that the fluorine-containing PVBFP block formed 9 nm columnar microdomains shielded by the PS phase in the vesicular membrane, as a result of the large size and thin vesicular membrane of the vesicles.
