The study shows that hidden-charm exotic states can be produced abundantly in lepton-proton scattering processes through hadronic molecular structures and can also be produced in proposed electron-ion colliders.
We investigate the semi-inclusive production of hidden-charm exotic states, including the S(3872), Z(c), Z(CS) and pentaquark P-C, states, in lepton-proton scattering processes. These hadrons are close to the thresholds of a pair of charm and anticharm hadrons and are assumed to possess a hadronic molecular structure as their main feature. To provide order-of-magnitude estimates of the cross sections, we use Pythia to simulate the short-distance productions of the constituent hadrons, which then rescatter to form exotic hadrons. The estimates for the X(3872) and Z(c)(3900)(+/-) states are not in conflict with the upper limits measured in the COMPASS experiment for the exclusive photoproduction process. The results indicate that the considered hidden-charm states can be copiously produced at the proposed electron-ion colliders EicC and US-EIC.

Hunting for the heavy quark spin symmetry partner of Zcs

Xu Cao, Zhi Yang

Summary: This paper discusses the charged strange hidden-charm state Z(cs)(3985) and another higher state Z(cs)*, as well as the possible hunt for Z(cs)* using experimental data. A hint for Z(cs)* in the (B) over bar J/psi K-K+ data at LHCb is pointed out, which is consistent with the production mechanism of the pentaquark P-c. The triangular singularity, which could enhance the production of Z(cs)* in electron-positron collision, is also studied. The production rate of Z(cs)* is predicted to be maximum at the e(+)e(-) center of mass energy of 4.648 GeV, lower than 4.681 GeV for Z(cs), due to the inverted coupling hierarchy. The bottom analogue under heavy quark flavor symmetry is also discussed.

Novel Coupled Channel Framework Connecting the Quark Model and Lattice QCD for the Near-threshold Ds States

Zhi Yang, Guang-Juan Wang, Jia-Jun Wu, Makoto Oka, Shi-Lin Zhu

Summary: A novel framework is proposed to extract near-threshold resonant states from lattice QCD energy levels and is applied to study the structures of positive parity D-s mesons. The quark model, quark-pair-creation mechanism, and D-(*K-) interaction are incorporated into the effective field theory to analyze the composition of the D-s mesons. The results show that the physical D-s0* (2317) and D-s1* (2460) are mixtures of bare c (s) over bar core and D-(*K-) component, while the D-s1* (2536) and D-s2* (2573) are dominated by the bare CS%.

Effective range expansion for narrow near-threshold resonances

Vadim Baru, Xiang-Kun Dong, Meng-Lin Du, Arseniy Filin, Feng-Kun Guo, Christoph Hanhart, Alexey Nefediev, Juan Nieves, Qian Wang

Summary: In this paper, we discuss the general features of the effective range expansion, including the content of its parameters with respect to near-threshold states and the necessary modifications in the presence of coupled channels, isospin violations, and unstable constituents. As illustrative examples, we analyze the properties of the chi(c1)(3872) and T-cc(+) states, supporting the claim that these exotic states have a predominantly molecular nature.

The investigations of the P-wave Bs states combining quark model and lattice QCD in the coupled channel framework

Zhi Yang, Guang-Juan Wang, Jia-Jun Wu, Makoto Oka, Shi-Lin Zhu

Summary: In this study, we investigated the near-threshold P-wave B-s states using the Hamiltonian effective field theory, combining the quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and B-(*)(K) over bar interaction. By fitting the lattice data and applying the heavy quark flavor symmetry, we determined all the parameters in the D-s sector. The predicted masses of the bottom-strange partners of the D-30*(2317) and D-31*(2460) are consistent with lattice QCD simulation. We also observed a crossing point in the finite volume spectrum, which corresponds to a CDD zero in the B(K) over bar scattering T-matrix, providing further insights into the near-threshold states.

Isospin-conserving hadronic decay of the Ds1(2460) into Dsπ+π-

Meng-Na Tang, Yong-Hui Lin, Feng-Kun Guo, Christoph Hanhart, Ulf-G. Meissner

Summary: The internal structure of charm-strange mesons D-s0*(2317) and D-s1(2460) is being extensively studied. Their narrow widths are due to their dominant decay through isospin-breaking hadronic channels. The decay of D-s1(2460) can also occur through hadronic final states with isospin conservation, but is strongly suppressed due to phase space limitations. By considering the Ds1(2460) as a D*K hadronic molecule, we find that the predicted partial widths and the pi(+)pi(-) invariant mass distribution are consistent with experimental measurements, and suggest possible ways to distinguish between the hadronic molecular and compact state pictures for the D-s1(2460)(+). Predictions for B-s1(0) -> B-s(0) pi(+) pi(-) are also made.

Understanding the 0++ and 2++ charmonium(-like) states near 3.9 GeV

Teng Ji, Xiang-Kun Dong, Miguel Albaladejo, Meng-Lin Du, Feng-Kun Guo, Juan Nieves, Bing-Song Zou

Summary: We propose that the X(3915) observed in the J/psi x channel is the same as the chi(c2)(3930), while the X(3960) observed in the Ds+Ds- channel is an S-wave Ds+Ds- hadronic molecule. Additionally, we find that the B+ -> D+D-K+ component with J(PC) = 0(++) assigned to the X(3915) in the current Review of Particle Physics has the same origin as the X(3960) with a mass of around 3.94 GeV. By analyzing available data in the D (D) over bar and Ds+Ds- channels from B decays and gamma gamma fusion reaction, considering both the D (D) over bar -D-s(D) over bar (s)-D*(D) over bar*-D-s*(D) over bar (s)* coupled channels with 0(++) and a 2(++) state introduced additionally, we find that all the data in different processes can be simultaneously well reproduced, and four hidden-charm scalar molecular states with masses around 3.73, 3.94, 3.99, and 4.23 GeV are produced. These results may deepen our understanding of the spectrum of charmonia and the interactions between charmed hadrons.

On the eta(1)(1855), pi(1)(1400) and pi(1)(1600) as Dynamically Generated States and Their SU(3) Partners

Mao-Jun Yan, Jorgivan M. M. Dias, Adolfo Guevara, Feng-Kun Guo, Bing-Song Zou

Summary: We interpret the newly observed eta(1)(1855) resonance with exotic J(PC) = 1(-+) quantum numbers in the I = 0 sector, as a dynamically generated state from the interaction between lightest pseudoscalar mesons and axial-vector mesons. The interaction is derived from the lowest order chiral Lagrangian, which is then unitarized using the Bethe-Salpeter equation, according to the chiral unitary approach. We evaluate the decays of eta(1)(1855) into eta eta' and K (K) over bar*pi channels, and find that the latter has a larger branching fraction. Furthermore, we investigate its SU(3) partners and suggest searching for two additional eta(1) exotic mesons with masses around 1.4 and 1.7 GeV.

New insights into the nature of the Λ(1380) and Λ(1405) resonances away from the SU(3) limit

Feng-Kun Guo, Yuki Kamiya, Maxim Mai, Ulf-G. Meissner

Summary: Starting from the SU(3) limit, the nature of the dynamically generated resonances Lambda(1380), Lambda(1405) and Lambda(1680) were studied as the masses of pion and kaon were tuned to their physical values. It was found that the accidental symmetry of the two octets due to the leading order Weinberg-Tomozawa term is broken by the next-to-leading order terms. Most interestingly, an interchange of the two trajectories of Lambda(1380) and Lambda(1405) away from the SU(3) limit at next-to-leading order was observed.

Radiative decays of the spin-2 partner of X(3872)

Pan-Pan Shi, Jorgivan M. Dias, Feng-Kun Guo

Summary: It is expected that X(3872) has a spin-2 partner, X2, with a mass below the D*D over bar * threshold. The structure with a mass of (4014.3 & PLUSMN;4.0 & PLUSMN; 1.5) MeV reported by Belle Collaboration is considered a good candidate for X2. The radiative decay widths and signal of X2 in two-photon collisions are estimated, and the search for X2 signal in the γJ/ψ invariant mass distribution is suggested.

Chromopolarizabilities of fully heavy baryons

Xiang-Kun Dong, Feng-Kun Guo, Alexey Nefediev, Jaume Tarrus Castella

Summary: We calculate the chromopolarizabilities of the fully heavy baryons 52QQQ0 in the framework of potential nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics and find that it is 2.6 times the chromopolarizability of the quarkonium Q over bar Q with the same heavy quark flavor. This result provides an order-of-magnitude estimate for these quantities and their dependence on various factors like heavy quark mass and strong coupling constant. The implication of our findings is the possible existence of near-threshold states composed of pairs of fully heavy baryons.

Summary: Based on the hypothesis that the Tcc discovered at LHCb is a D0=D0 hadronic molecule, we studied the partial width of its heavy quark spin partner, the Tcc, as a D⠂0D⠂0 shallow bound state. We considered the contributions of the D⠂D and D⠂pi final state interactions and found that the rescattering corrections can significantly affect the decay widths. The total width of the Tcc was predicted to be about 41 keV.

Semi-inclusive electroproduction of hidden-charm and double-charm hadronic molecules

Pan -Pan Shi, Feng-Kun Guo, Zhi Yang

Summary: The semi-inclusive electroproduction of exotic hadrons, including the Tcc, Pcs, and hidden-charm baryon-antibaryon states, is explored under the assumption that they are S-wave hadronic molecules of a pair of charmed hadrons. The results indicate that a larger number of Pcs states and ?c over bar ?c molecules can be produced at proposed electron-ion colliders in China (EicC) and the US (EIC). The Tcc states and other hidden-charm baryon-antibaryon states can also be searched for at EIC. The 24-GeV upgrade of the Continuous Beam Accelerator Facility at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility can play an important role in the search for hidden-charm tetraquark and pentaquark states due to its high luminosity.

Establishing the heavy quark spin and light flavor molecular multiplets of the X(3872), Zc(3900), and X(3960) br

Summary: The LHCb Collaboration recently reported a near-threshold enhancement X(3960) and showed that it can be described by either a bound or a virtual state. Using this discovery and existing information, a complete spectrum of S-wave hadronic molecules formed by a pair of charm and anticharm mesons is established, resulting in predicted pole positions for the newly observed state.
