Summary: This study utilized DNA barcoding and phylogenetic analysis to investigate five genotypes of Prunus armeniaca L. cultivated in the Malatya region of Turkey. The chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) matK and rbcL regions were analyzed for nucleotide ratios, genetic distance, and nucleotide diversity. Phylogenetic trees were constructed using Neighbor-joining analysis and demonstrated compatibility between the matK and rbcL sequences. The findings highlight the suitability of the matK and rbcL gene regions for phylogenetic analysis.

Summary: This study identified and analyzed 187 CYP450s from the ginkgo genome. 22 CYP450s potentially involved in terpene trilactone (TTL) biosynthesis were selected through transcriptome sequencing and correlation analysis. Phylogenetic analysis showed that these CYP450s had a close evolutionary relationship with CYP450s involved in terpenoid biosynthesis in other plants. Additionally, the treatment of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) increased the content of TTLs in G. biloba, and several CYP450s were strongly induced by MeJA to up-regulate expression.

Summary: Studies have shown that Eulophia is non-monophyletic in molecular phylogenetic research, suggesting a need to merge it with other genera. By examining the characteristics previously used to differentiate these genera, it is evident that a broader circumscription of Eulophia is more likely to be stable. As a result, 35 new combinations/names are necessary for the expansion of Eulophia to include these other genera.
